Libertarian, used in an American context, is a person who supports a microstate and laissez-faire capitalism.

Libertarian socialists and communists are obviously a different story. But anyone who supports capitalism also supports the state, even if they don't recognize or acknowledge it. So I give no credence to those right wing libertarians who are against the "microstate" part of the current American usage.
