  • youre just my type :)

  • you're cute! and nice keyboard!

  • Your supply and demand reasoning isn't completely true. It does cost more money to buy the switches and install them in their products.

  • omg i love this sound

  • love your tits

  • I type the same way haha

  • Haha I type just like you, but I can still pull off around 100 wpm. I should really get used to typing properly

  • Clearly, the cat knew you were about to record something for the internet, so it tried to get some time on camera to beckon to the internet for help.

  • Ur pretty

  • damn is your keyboard alright after that? hey you got a cool looking cat

  • Thank you for the review!

I've read that cherry mx brown switches are the best for typing because they require less force than the cherry mx blue switches and they're quieter. I do a lot of typing, partly because I'm writing a teen novel, and I spend a lot of time in public libraries. So a keyboard that's quiet and easy to type with sounds good to me. I saw an XArmor keyboard, brand new for around $80, with cherry mx brown switches.

Most of the ones on Ebay have cherry mx blue switches.

  • @AppleSouffle Cherry MX brown would definitely be the best for you. They're very balanced keys and they're great for the work place. THe only trouble is that usually they go for $150. The $80 one is surprising to me.

  • @apk878 And further, the reason I have these slips is because I'm either A) exhausted or B) I have a phobia of public speaking and I'm trying to work through it with these videos. I'm EXTREMELY nervous behind that camera and yeah, sometimes I fumble my words and sentences. It happens. If you try to tell me that's NEVER happened to you, then you're both a liar and an asshole.

  • hah nice tf2 shirt.

  • actually browns are better than blues - FACT

  • @bootysmack420 How so

  • @Infiltrator667 They're quieter. Better for an office setting. :)

  • @SUPERfreckleland I love the loud awesome clickyness of the Keyboard though :D

  • You love load keyboards, have a white board hanging in the back, and send death threats in your videos. You have earned yourself a subscription.

  • Just ordered a black widow ultimate after watching this review. Sick of getting stuck shift keys etc on keyboards after 6 months or so.

    + LED lights are shiny.

  • I just always pick up old COMPAQ mechanical keyboards at my firm(they replace them with shitty hp's :O) I also thound a IBM once in a dumbster when I was drunk

  • (..The employee at my best buy I was talking to said "OH, YOU MEAN THE PHONES? OR SOME BLUETOOTH DEVICES? WE HAVE A NEW PHONE COMING OUT SOON!!" after I said "Where do you have your Razer products at?")

  • Ahh! Your unboxing video was honestly the reason I found out about the Blackwidow! I just got mine today, it's my favorite keyboard I've ever used. :) ..Despite the employees at my best buy being very unintelligent and not even knowing their stock, or that Razer is a brand.. Also, first mechanical! Before now, I'd been using the standard Dell keyboard I've had since I got my old XPS 400 years and years ago. Liking the feel, look, and it feels like quality! Your channel's awesome, by the way.

  • You are super cute love.

  • Like this video for awesome left handed thumb typing.

  • Your way is soooooooooooooooooooooooo much better.

  • Mechanical keyboards are great. I'm still using my beige IBM model M :)

  • @svtcontour We've got a silver model M and it's in mint condition too. We also have two or three other model Ms. We scour goodwill for them.

  • @SUPERfreckleland That is awesome. What I would give for a silver or black model M. By the way your cat looks so much like my parents cat. She's just a big fluffy ball of lovable fur :)

  • @SUPERfreckleland Sorry for the super late response. I think the model M are awesome. I had no idea they came in silver! I have since replaced my model M with a CMStorm Quickfire mechanical keyboard ... but that doesnt mean I dont love my model M. I just got a new desk and its a bit smaller so I picked up a keyboard with no number pad.

  • cool girl!

  • I was going to buy this as the mechanical side of things is something that really interested me, I'm a very fast typer, spend an awful lot of time on the computer and game excessively, but the overall noise of the keyboard has swayed me away from this so so much, so I'm just going to go with the G19 instead, that just seems better to me.

  • Awesome shirt , so expensive to get that stuff sent to Australia :(

  • @NewDivineWind They were first developed for lowering the sound, however the people making them realized how much cheaper it was and kept doing it. They were not just made to be cheaper (though now they are). Topres and cherries are recent developments compared to rubber dome. Topre is fantastic, though I wasn't actually talking about topre when I mentioned a $250 keyboard. That keyboard was a different one. Topre is out of my reach because I have more important hobbies at the moment.

  • @SUPERfreckleland Which keyboard is the one that you were talking about? The Happy Hacking?

  • My Black Widow doesn't light up :((( I

  • @tomcatdcn I have the ultimate version. :(

  • Thanks for helping me decide to get the BlackWidow lol. It's actually not as loud as I had thought. I must've had my volume high on all the mx blue videos. Still too loud for me to game or type around sleeping people. It has some... quirks on a mac though. Haven't quite figured how to fix them yet.

  • @viperoreca Of course it has quirks on a mac. Macs are *nix based and the keyboards work differently. For macs I would recommend the Matias Tactile Pro.

  • Do you know somewhere else I could buy the keyboard besides of ebay?

  • @unrealbarney read the description.

  • thats a nice keyboard O.O do you game on it as well like is it good for gaming? (sorry if you mentioned it in the vid, kinda skiped to the keyboard part xD)

  • @NegaTrooperX I hold the belief that any keyboard is good for gaming, and that you do not need a "gaming" keyboard to play games well. You just need a keyboard that feels good under your fingers.

I don't mind playing on this keyboard, though mechanical keyboards are more meant for typing than gaming. I use multiple keyboards. I should also note that this keyboard does not do well in the ghosting department compared to others in its price range. It all depends on you.

  • @SUPERfreckleland lol oh ok 2 easy thnks xD

  • What were you typing?

  • @Lumpyrox1412 Various things.

    "Hello youtube" was typed

"the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" was typed

"I wonder if anyone is trying to figure out what I'm typing" was typed

    and

"what if they do figure it out"

"greetings sir welcome to my keyboard."

Some of those may have been cut as I did not include all of the footage of me typing and only remember what I typed at the time.

  • You said not to get any other switches, and that browns aren't tactile. Brown IS actually tactile. It isn't as pronounced as blues, but I find they're a good balance between blues and blacks. Blues are best for typing, blacks are good for gaming, and browns are the best all around switch for both typing and gaming.

  • @RedZoneXX Ah yes, that would be an error of wording on my part. I think I meant to say that blues were the only ones with full mechanical/tactile function.

As for gaming, I can game on any keyboard regardless of inner mechanics.

  • Hey cool video, love the keyboard and love your awesome cat, he is cute.! I have been using like a $5 keyboard since ages and i think its about time to upgrade.! this video helped me.! thanks and looking forward to your next video! peace..!

  • @Killamuf There are many decent keyboards out there that are less expensive than this one. Just keep looking!

The Microsoft Sidewinder X6 is quite enjoyable and a lot less expensive. I have one of those, as well, though it's on another computer in the house. I could do a review on it in the future.

  • @SUPERfreckleland Hey sorry for the late reply, got caught up in some stuff yesterday.! Thanks for the suggestions, i will def look into that keyboard, would be cool if you could do a review.! (you don't have to, i know it takes a lot of time and effort to make these videos). Anyways, good to hear from ya. Peace.!

  • How come all the cute gamer chicks must be married? -_- You're a tease! DAMN YOU!

Really though, cool video. I have the Logitech G11 Keyboard and love it, even if it's not mechanical, it has onboard video controls and 18 different macro keys and of course two levels of backlighting.

  • @Zeldafan69x Not married yet, but I will be next year. :)

I wouldn't worry so much about on-board video controls. Many programs (VLC, for example) allow you to set shortcuts on the keyboard for media. 18 seems like a lot of macro keys, sir. If you use them all, then splendid!

I have never been a fan of Logitech keyboards to be honest, though I do love their webcams/mics.

  • @SUPERfreckleland I play WoW, so yeah, they come in handy haha. But it has a little wheel at the top of the board that directly controls the volume, as well as a mute button, and the stop/play buttons that work with YouTube, Zune Player, iTunes, etc. The lighting isn't as bright as I'd like though, but it gets the job done fersure :)

And congrats on the wedding! Tape it and upload it, yo!

  • you type like 100 times faster than me O.o

  • @ZeldaInADekuNutshell I've been typing since 1994.

  • @SUPERfreckleland LOL that's before I was born :D

  • i has... Logitech keyboard... lol

  • @juliordz123 You should get that fixed! Haha.

  • yay finn ...lol cute as always:)

yeah that widow kb is sweet might get it someday...

when my laptop dies and i get a desktop

  • @12119999 Why wouldn't you have both?

  • @SUPERfreckleland lol freckles...bc i like laptops better. but yeah i did have a desktop pc a year ago. it was kinda old and yeah...and i mostly use my computers for vid games + animes

  • You're making me want a new keyboard. LOL <3

  • gotta love that typing sound

  • @Riku4evr It's the best!

  • The sound the keyboard makes when you type sounds like a typewriter. In a way this video reminded me that i need to get a new keyboard mine at the moment is really crap and i've had it for atleast two years now :3

P.S Your cat is awesome :D

  • @SuperUbersauce haha thank-you! I would recommend you check out your local Goodwill, not only does spending money there help other people but sometimes you can find awesome keyboards for like $3. :)

  • @SuperUbersauce How did I miss this comment?! I happen to love old typewriters. It may seem loud to you but trust me, after a few months on a mechanical keyboard it's really hard to revert back other ones. My laptop keyboard feels like pressing down on mush to me.

Definitely check out Goodwill stores to find cheap deals, or if you have a local Tigerdirect/Frys, go there. You can get pretty decent deals on keyboards in these places.

  • @SUPERfreckleland I like typewriters aswell with the whole typing sounds makes a cool noise :3

but good review with the keyboard its not likely that the keyboard would be hanging around in Australia and i cant order stuff from E-bay because i dont have a credit card which sucks because most good PC games are so cheap online (or on steam)

  • @SuperUbersauce My friend in Australia has a razer keyboard. They sell them there, too!

  • I am tempted to get that keyboard sometime

  • @moiph I am tempted to get YOUR FACE sometime.
