they put new trains that are so much lighter that the ride goes 5 mph faster! (and entire goliath train of weight) and the whole place was retthemed.

its probably a possibility that you could have fallen out. that ride is shit. the other day i was there and the 2 trains collided with eachother in the station. the train coming in from the track didnt slow down at all. it totally ruined all the controls on how the ride spins and stuff and it was closed for like a week

I hate this ride. There's a reason: it wasn't as enjoyable as I thought it would be. Before I went on my second-ever trip to Six Flags Magic Mountain, I did some exploring on the website about the new rides. X, it said, had independent axes that made it rotate "unscripted", making each ride different from the last because each is unique. I rode up front, my first time, and somewhere in the middle the next. Those rotations may possibly be unscripted, but far from unique. They were predictable.

It seems so. I tried rocking it back and forth, and convinced the guy beside me to rock along with me (in case they were independent pairs - there's two on each side, as you can see.) And it wouldn't turn. It seemed to have rotated in the same places, usually the drops, which made me think at first that only the speed, and gravity, can rotate them because they're so heavy. But when you're at the back, and you see each "pod" rotate in the same direction when they get past the same point...

true. notice how there are 4 rails on the track for X? well the 2 outer rails keep the trains on the track and the 2 inner ones are programmed to tell the seats to rotate.
