I have had this light for about a year and it is by far my favorite light. The crowd seems to enjoy it and they always make comments about it as well. I love LED lights, all of my lights are LED and they are much brighter that other lights and I don't have to replace bulbs.

Try angling them to the ceiling from your truss... If you go at about a 45 degree angle, it creates a neat pattern on the ceiling and with a white ceiling, provides a flashy color wash on the floor...

I got my new Mystic Yesterday . Just DMX'd her to my REVO 3 , Vue 3's and Equinox Carbon. WE LOVE IT. I cant wait for the weekend. This level of effect use to fill my van, Now it doesn't even fill my back seat. any one not on LED yet it missing the fun :)

This is a very nice light. The only downer is the fact that you can't put it in sound-active mode using dmx like you can on the quad led. The starball led has the same "problem", but for the starball I wouldn't use this mode. Right now I run all my lights using dmx, except for the mystic, this one I control with a small remote.

Hey Brian, I've got someone wanting to know if the Mystic LED can run in sound active mode via DMX. I know that sounds contrary, but the question is concerning the option for someone who wants to turn a fixture on or off via DMX, but wants the fixture to run as sound to light when turned on via DMX, rather than having to program a bunch of scenes for it, given the built in programs are already pretty good. I don't have a DMX controller, since you do, could you see if that is possible? :)

Ok this light is of course the adj version of the elan. the differences i see are:

the bug eyed lenses on the front

all the inputs are on the bottom on the elan

the elan has dip switches

the mystic sound active programs are much sweeter (the elan is like a vertigo with its movements but similar to the mystic's led programs)

the elan only strobes to the music when u set the dip switches to strobe mode

I wish i woulda got the mystic now

figured id put how they are similar for those who care

Looking at the manual, I can't figure out one thing: under DMX, can you set it to be sound active. I usually use my DMX software to turn lights on and off under sound active modes, but I can't see anything that indicates whether I can do that in the manual.

I haven't plugged it in DMX yet. Good question. I'll have a look. There is a Random Rotation function on channel 4 and a rainbow effect on 3. Wonder if thoes would put you at sound active via DMX. I'll give it a go
