Brian left because he couldn't handle it any longer, he came to a point and said that his life wasn't the way he wanted and something had to leave, it was his wife and kids or Westlife. he chose to leave Westlfe.

oh, i saw the press conference and the interview with ryan, but it's just the fact that after a few months after he left he released a solo album. which means he had it in his mind before. it takes a lot of time to compose music and besides brian said at the press conference that he had no intention to go solo at that mo. besides he divorced very quickly after he left the lads. i don't think that the family was the most important thing for him. oh, and he also began to manage franklin.
