pretty sweet car. i dont look at a golf as a drag car though but thats what this one is. i have a mk5 gti and its not as fast in a drag as a sti, but on a track my gti will win. im not much of a drag racer though... i feel like you just push the pedal and shift and thats it, but maybe because my car isnt some 500hp+ monster. to sum up, gti isnt a great drag car for its price range, but the gti is one of the fastest on a track in its range

I also don't think that the Veyron should be over a 1M dollars when you can get equal luxury from a 200K Aston Martin and nearly the same top speed from an older Mclaren F1. The fact that they're hand built, has a carbon fiber body that is made in-house, has 1001 bph, and exclusivity for even owning one, I see why they do charge so much. @yoquentin54 I think you'll find that it is possible to propel a square brick 3m by 3m with enough force to 250mph. When power out put matches that of the resistance is when topspeed or terminal velocity occurs. Unless the car is geared poorly and it revs out.

Yes, its bloody expensive but its the best car ever made, what do you expect? Its not all about the speed, but also it is luxurious, reliable and has one of the best interiors in a car.

Bugatti veyron does a quarter of a mile drag race in 10.2 seconds. again this car is not faster than a bugatti veyron in terms of acceleration or top end up speed. It may be as quick as or nearly as quick as a veyron in acceleration but it is not faster.

Mistitled. It's not faster. It supposedly accelerates faster which isn't the same. A Golf can't actually reach higher top speeds no matter what you put in it because it doesn't have good aerodynamics. It's not built for suchs speeds. The engine is not the only thing that makes a car go fast.
