it's not stealing to download... there are some places where artists allow downloading of their music. and unless the law has changed now - last time i looked it was illegal to upload and share for some reason but not illegal to download as long as u don't share.

not everyone has the money to buy cd's and it's hardly saying that u don't think someones music is worth buying just cuz u get a free dl. i buy the cd's when i can because i like to support artists and i like having the actual album art. but i certainly can't afford to buy every cd of every musician i like. if people really want the downloading to stop... the law needs to do something to the companies that make it available. if people dl after that then arrest em if u wanna be that hard on it
but i think it's kinda sad if people wanna put people in jail just because they like their music and don't have the money to spend on it. that's not to say that everyone who dl's can't afford it... but again... that's a flaw in the law itself. if we actually followed through on the laws we make consistantly instead of all the random justice where one guy goes free and another spends his life in prison for the same crime... then people would see that everyone that gets caught gets in trouble
