I think they use just one emulator to play all games. They have the money to make a program to generate basic 2D and 3D models along with 8,16, and 64 bits.

And I don't they they would take apart the game to make it Wii compatible.

All is not lost though. You can homebrew the game to the Wii via an SD card. Google the instructions on how to do so.

Full head? He was a box in SF also, well, mostly. At first Andross was a polygonal face(Some described it as "Tetris from hell"), after shooting his eyes out his face fell apart revealing a box with his face plastered all over it.

For the Mirage Dragon fights and all the Star Wolf dogfights you can change between first and third person. You might be able to change for Andross, I don't remember.

To answer kiljmu2 properly, you fight the four members of Star Wolf one at a time... Pigma, Leon and Andrew during the normal course of the game when you either attack the planet they are based on or they decide to leave the planet they are based on and come after you, and Wolf after all threats to Coneria are eliminated and you are about to attack the Astropolis (the base orbiting Solar (the star) you can see in this clip)...
