Hi Rob...great playing...im a huge fan of yours and love your work,,,I'm very curious though...what sort of camera are you using here ? and how do you add the reverb effect...i have to say....the sound is absolutely magnificent...is it a special computer program used for enhancing the sound ?
The camera was the cheapest I could find about five years ago. It's by Sony, a Handycam. Really not good quality compared to HD.
I record the sound with a Zoom H2 and edit in a basic sound file editor by Nero, again nothing special, basic cheap stuff. I add reverb. In my older videos I added a lot of reverb, but these days hardly any. This video has too much for my taste now. Glad you like it, though!
Wow this was done very well! I have high standards and you definitely surpassed them. When I hear you play for some reason it sounds like how the composer intended.
From vihuelademano dotcom - I think Alexander Batov is the best and most knowledgeable baroque guitar and vihuela maker (not to mention viols). His website has a wealth of interesting information regarding instrument construction. Well worth a vist. And, no, I am not on commission! I wish ;-)
Wonderful sound, very musical, Thanks for sharing this.

Hi Rob! You really are quite the talent; BHO members turn up in the strangest places, haha.

Eloquent, elegant and mellifluous - I'm sure the Sun King would have stayed awake way past his majesty's bedtime while relishing this...

Rob, have you seen the baroque guitars they sell at EarlyMusicShop? Is the price of these reasonable?

@0pteryx
I don't know those guitars, so can't comment. Alexander Batov makes inexpensive plain instruments which are the same as his decorated versions.

This piece, indeed, is not easy at all and your brilliant performance just make it looks even harder to play!
Thank you Mister! ;-)
10 stars out of 5!

I prefer the arrangement on the Julian Bream recording.
This arrangement sounds very messy.

It's not an arrangement! This is what De Visee wrote.
