if by that you mean you can drop one of your original creatures on a new planet, you can, and also there is supposed to be a crossbreeding editor later so i think that would include bizarre crosses to control

What you can do is scan creatures with your UFO to find out about their body structure and whatnot, so there is a chance that you could perhaps bring therm into the editor and/or keep them the same
