  • the 2000 yrs catholic church never change.

  • @00justryan That's right, but someone forgot to tell those that champion Vatican II that they can't change the truth.

  • @00justryan Dude, it has changed a lot. He even gives one example of how it changed at 4:09

  • This reason I left the New Mass, for true faith and Latin Mass of all time, Novus Ordo is horriable I don't care how reverent it is.

Saint Pius X Pray For US

  • Come back home (the holy ROMAN CATHOLIC church) Oblationem, its not to late.

  • Come back to what? Communion in the hand, an invalid consecration of the wine, priests who may not be really priests, a mass that is more Protestant than Catholic, pedophiles and homosexuals, seminaries that accept homosexuals, all seven sacraments that have been changed, so-called catholics that worship with heretics and non-Christians. In short, you have nothing to offer, whereas I already have all that our canonized saints forefathers had. The Novus Ordo is sacrilege.

  • I am a Protestant Christian Jew who thinks the Latin Mass is beautiful. =) My Jewish blood left the Orthodox Jewish tradition for the Catholic Church just before World War I near Prague. For whomever in the Catholic Church was responsible for planting that seed of faith in them, I am grateful. I am just getting back in touch with all of my roots after becoming a Christian this year after the Lord brought me out of atheism.

Can a practicing Catholic please answer some of my questions? *Cont*

  • @Ooftyman

Watch these videos on the Traditional Catholic Latin Mass with Fr. Cooper, and many of your questions will be answered. Good luck.

  • Thanks Oblationem.

Nice to hear some basic Catholic truths. Agree with you on Benedict. I can't shake off the image of the photo of him in shirt and tie with his friend Karl Rahner during Vatican 2. In my experience people don't change much once they get over the age of 30. Even the great St.Peter was still running away at the end of his life (Quo vadis?). There is also his comment in the 60s that Christ isn't really present in our Churches!

  • I wish that I lived near this church, I would go every day.

  • bea culpa bea culpa bea maxima culpa-too true

  • AirMaria and RealCatholicTV websites. There is a Judas element an anti church in the church.

But where the Pope is there is God's full revelation on earth.

  • Well Okay, but you got to know that many of us are not all that excited about this present pope when he tries to defend non-Catholic elements of Vatican II, the new mass (small m) and whores around (prays) with the enemies of the Catholic Church. It is a scandal to us Catholics that he does these things. All of this new theology and way of thinking is killing the Church. However, I do pray for him.

  • I confess...that the SSPX need to now get on board and become full members of the Catholic church for the good of their own salvation. Enough of their whining. The Holy Father has opened the door, and it is time for them to humbly walk in.

  • Perhaps YOU should humble yourself and accept the Doctrine and Traditions of the Catholic Church as taught always and everywhere. Our souls are not the souls in danger. (Generally speaking).

We are not the ones sobbing and whimpering, we fight for what we believe in.

  • My friend, when it comes to the Doctrine and Traditions of the church, we Catholic traditionalists are humble enough to walk through a 2-ft-high door. We are willing to forgive the SSPX'ers for abandoning us and Christ's church in the time of most need (i.e. the darkest hour). But now that Pope Benedict (may God bless him and grant him 100 years) is opening the door, you people need to RUN in. AND FYI, we have fought for what we believe in for 20 + years...and righteously so.

  • We traditionalists, who do you, speak for? Abandoning in the time of most need, the darkest hour? What on earth are you talking about? The SSPX are not the ones who accepted new un-Catholic sacraments etc. I dont think you belt makes it through all of its theological loops.

  • Yeah, "new un-Catholic sacraments" is as ignorant as it is choleric. Traditionalists are the ones who stayed loyal to the magesterium AND to the Tridentine liturgy. Anyway, it appears the rest of the SSPX are humbly on their way back to the fold. If you feel the need to remain extra-ecclesiam then it is only your soul at risk. And our conversation is finished.

  • Capone70 - It's not very humble to talk about how humble you are. I'm not Catholic but might be if you didn't have a Pope and Vatican saying we should accept extraterrestrials (which I reckon are demons) as our brothers, and say Jews don't need Jesus.

  • Oh, I feel stupid. Just checked out capone70 channel and see you aren't a traditional Catholic at all and I guess are what somebody explained to me when asked what "trolling" meant.

  • Fr. Cooper Trully blessed adviser.

  • Crystobahl, these were taken down in Oregon. St. Thomas Beckett Church.

  • Father Cooper tells it like it is. I enjoy his sermons and I like his personality. What he says sticks for me.

  • A true spiritual director. I hope that Rome and the SSPX can work the differences out.

  • Yes, I pray that Rome will return to Tradition and the Faith of our Fathers.

  • I agree.

  • wow It's Father Cooper! I attend SSPX Mass in Los Gatos, CA and he was the Pastor there from 2000-2005. I'm quite surprised to find him on YouTube (I found this after searching for "SSPX"). May I ask, where were these videos of him taken?

  • The videos were taken at:

    St. Thomas Becket Catholic Church

    Veneta, Oregon

We try to add a new video each month.

    (Sometimes we miss).

  • Typical Fr. Cooper, practical, easy to understand, at the end a desire to hear more. And a touch of humor doesn't hurt, also helps to remember details. Thanks.

  • This is Fr. Cooper at his best. Hopefully there will be lots more of his sermons.

  • I took the time to write this so that you may not be misguided by the impression that Christ said or the the Bible teaches you to rely on it alone. That is false. Listen to your Church. God bless you.

  • Correction: St. John 14:15 through 15:17.

  • Dear Akita90,

An old hermit once told me to read St. John 14:15 through 15:16. He said there is enough packed into those verses that one cannot 'ever' exhaust it. Happy reading. May God Bless You...

  • Oh! And one thing, I'm Catholic, of 16 years old, learned this verse when I was 14. I read the bible since I was 12. I'm not a religous person, but I do read the The Holy Bible. So I would like for anyone who is reading this, to please read the Bible. You don't need to be a religious person to understand the Holy Scripture. It only requires study, prayer and meditation. But always ask for the guidance of the Holy Ghost to understand the Word of God. God Bless...

  • Ecclesiastes 11:9; It says pretty much what the Priest says about St.Phillip; St.Phillip said these words from the Bible. It's a powerful verse for teenagers, well at least it is for me. Because it is true, have fun but don't sin. Well, I just wanted to add this verse, cause you never know who might need this verse as I did, and still do... Well, may God bless you...
