I'm a foreigner who disagrees with the actions of the reds (disrupting the ASEAN summit, attacking the PM's vehicle, using the Monarchs name in vain, etc.). There seems to be a great divide in the ideas of the people of this nation. As a non-Thai who frequently visits Bangkok, my main source of information is from all the international news channels.

I would suggest those who disagree with the 'red shirts' to PEACEFULLY PROTEST by NOT USING TAXI SERVICE unless they can prove to not be red.

Ok, we had yellow shirted protesters last year and now we have red shirted protesters this year. I wish Thailand could settle down and find some peace. This is hurting their international image and costing them lots of bahts (Thai money). But, which group was better PAD or PPP? I personally think Thaskin and his PPP supporters did more for the people reducing poverty and such. Still I sure wish this would be resolved so I don't have to cancel my Thai trip.

Thai PM does have power to govern country, but the King is still important to us. He's never control the government, but he can give some advices in critical situations. Almost Thais (who have loyalty) believe in him not only because he is the KING, but his words always true.

And for the historian book. I don't think our king have such a free time to do it.
