  • I love this game, its awesome and hard. Enough to keep you on your toes all the time. The sequel on the Genesis is cooler, except the the third one.

  • Looks like the Klan decided to accessorize and display some color, as opposed to their drab-ass white for their whole supremacy racket...

The hero himself is incredibly strange-looking, with his pool cue legs and all...doesn't he kinda resemble an armed "Ed Grimly"?

  • Play "Code Name : Viper" the game steals the gameplay from this game to a T.

  • @TheDemoniusX I love Code Name: Viper! Never finished it though :(

  • Am I the only one who thinks they look like rejected Spiderman costumes?

  • This is a great game. One of my favorite NES titles.

  • Duck and shoot is a common technique in this type of game (see also Codename: Viper). I like how the background art uses shadows to create the illusion of depth (see also Low G Man).

  • holy shit i finally randomly thought of this game. i used to play this as a kid, i remembered it had a different looking cartridge. i thought i'd never see this game again. nice. thanks youtube.

  • if you look at 2:59 it almost looks like there throwing up the Seig Hail Hitler sign . thats hella funny i always tell people that this game seemed like a KKK hunting game .

  • I remember renting rolling thunder 2 & 3 for the genesis when I was a kid. Those were really fun games with some pretty cool set pieces.

  • Can't speak for anyone else...but I wanna make a hack of this and call it, "Lupin the Third VS. The KKK"

  • i ored this on swagbucks

  • This game was aweesome! :D

  • Wow, this game looks almost exactly the same as Codename: Viper. You should play that sometime too.

  • You need the friggin Game Genie to beat this game Jesus. LOL

  • This and Operation Wolf were my two favorite arcade games.

  • This by far is my favorite NES game.

  • this game was very difficult in the arcade. i remember those guys in the masks scared me as a kid. i thought that you get to see the people behind the masks when you beat the game. that was more interesting than rescuing the girl.

  • Looks like Shinobi.

  • this was a tough one in the arcade

  • The NES version wasn't much easier.

  • the game sound is freaking anoying like a buzzer alarm. I never played this game!. I was more an island adventure.

  • I preciate u postin dis vid. I bout lost it when I seen dis game in da store but seein it here is givin me a flashback to my kiddie days.

    Keep up da good work.

  • Hard, But Fun.

  • I think I know why you duck and shoot. You're trying to avoid getting shot by baddies that might have guns. It's also funny to watch KKK members get shot in the crotch.

  • I could never beat this game when I was younger. The difficulty was a bit too much, and the Rolling Thunder 3 for the sega was much easier.

    Nice walkthrough, Franko.

  • lol rainbow brite KKK members i see it now

  • hehe i loved this peice of shit in the arcade!!

  • This game is far from shit dude...

  • This and its spinoff Code Name Viper are both very hard games for me. Although music in both games is catchy.

  • Torture Leila real good.

  • If you think that this is hard, try stories 3 and 4....GOD. Short of impossible. Ducking is a MUST and you can't mess up or you are dead.

  • Almost forgot, EVERY enemy has a gun and the enemies that had gones shoot ridiculously fast. 0_o

  • When I was little, I use to be scared to play this game. I also didn't understand why the green dude that laughed at you, he was almost as bad zs the Duck Hunt Dog. The green guy and the kkk dudes freaked me out, not to mention that that these guys followed you if you didn'y kill them. The music was scary too.

I can beat it, but it's tough as dog shit.

  • wow that looks good!

  • These enemies really do look like the hell spawn of a KKK meeting at a crayola factory.

  • yeah I picked them out, the second level with the stairs and the 4th level with the lava. I even raised it to the next level with new game + where everyone got guns. I'll upload it and put it as a video response in a little while.

  • hm maybe I could make a vid of 1 or 2 levels; just pick them.

  • I couldn't imagine throwing 20,000 quarters in the machine to beat this. It seems too....expensive!

  • I doubt though I'll put it up online, I know I used save states, but the same is true with ninja gaiden, but I didn't have to load it up multiple times for the same exact point unlike with ninja gaiden with the damn respawns as I showed in my video. That's why I could tolerate it with this game; at least I got a chance if I use some strategy. Oh and don't do new game+ frank, every human enemy got guns and some can even shoot low.

  • haha thanks. It was fun to see someone else play it.

  • Maybe you should see if you can get Kinison here to take a stab at it and post it online. He seems well versed. ;)

  • Well considering I'm playing the game on what you can call new game+, yeah I know a lot about it. It can get really cheap but good strategy can help you out. Like with the bats on level 4, make a mad dash, then high jump to the closest possible area and blast the crap out of them.

  • 1 more comment I want to add, the last boss is a whole lot of those guys falling out of the sky. Yeah that's really cheap and you're on your own. Oh and I checked out wiki, you are albatross and the lady is leila. The 2nd game is 2 player and isn't as cheap as the 1st one; it's really a superior game by far.

  • It's not worth the time bonus if you get killed before time is up after all. Oh and I think the lady is leila from rolling thunder 2. 3:42 was exactly what I meant about high jumping when you ran into the grenade. The game has a password system if you don't use save states so continues aren't really an issue. Oh and you can change your shooting direction while crouching; just keep firing in 1 direction and turn. And the stairs at 5:18, you can jump down.

  • oh I love this game. It can get hard, but unlike ninja gaiden, you can actually progress once you kill an enemy. Just gotta use strategy. Don't high jump if a bad guy is above you or else he'll kill your ass. I do think the cheapest thing is when you gotta jump down and they're below you. That's just practically unavoidable without some luck. Oh and don't go into doors other than mandatory ammo else they might blast your ass the second you get out.
