bricked iphone not restoring

dont throw your iphone if its bricked any iphone is restorable trust me ,,,, you have to know what to do ,, there is a shop in bristol uk who have saved my iphone plenty of times ,, i cant remember how to do it myself ,, but i can always go into town and ask them the details and post it here if anyone needs help ,,i know the people in the phone shop very well so that would be no prob ,, sometimes it wont restore you have to do something else to it , like i said if you need help just say

just download blackra1n jailbreak utility & activate iphone in recovery mode & it should fix your problem without jailbreaking your idevice

Hold down the home and power with it on for 10 secs. Once its off let go of the power and hold home plug it into itunes and restore!

I am very gud at this kind of stuf so I might be able to help you, first of some computers are not strong enough to handle firmware that allows you to restore ur iPod(just happens), so instead I recommend you do these same steps on another computer by plugging in your iPod and doing the same steps you would by clicking the Restore button as always(note, need a nice strong computer), if you can't find one than just go to the Apple Store and they should be able 2 do it w/ their super strong macs!

Download something called DFUhelper, search it on YouTube, that's wat fixed mine :)

oh i had the same problem i fixed it straight away first you put the ipod touch in dfu mode (not responding mode) then go to itunes the shift restore click the firmware and it should work well it worked for me

for the window users xp or other window,what you have to do is us system recover and when you done you d install service pack 2or3 and install itunes.and when you in system recovery mode on your computer do not close it while ist in the middle of it.now restore your ipod if a new error pop all you have to do it close ur ipod and open and replug to the computer and there u go if any problem with windows email me

I just got my iphone last week and managed to seemingly brick it within that time. I can't restore, no matter what I try. I've tried restoring from itunes regularly, I tried shift-restoring and selecting various different .ipsw's, I tried restarting my computer, i tried restoring my computer, I tried doing it on a new account, I tried restoring on a different computer. Nothing is working. I simply get an error every time I try to restore.

hi mate, it happened to mine also, i had to set it into dfu mode and go back to 2.2.1 and then return it to dfu mode again and install 3.0 again...... also are you registerd with a dev to have your phone activated ???? if not it wont work

That's what I tried doing and it made it worse. Now my pc wont recognize the iphone at all. All I need is for it to recognize my iphone so I can downgrade it or atleast upgrade it to the full 3.0 release
