  • Need download link!

  • FUCK YES ADOL! This music makes me want to swing around a sword aimlessly, probably destroying furniture in the process.

  • @Bushido21XX Let not that free spirit die, my friend XD

  • ファミコン版の方が好きだな...( ̄∀ ̄)

  • i fuck the wife to the sickass beat

  • Without a doubt, the greatest RPG boss music of the 16-bit era! I recorded this on tape so I could listen to it on my walkman as a teen as I went to sleep. Memories...

  • This song resonated in my head for many years after I heard it. The tune that would not die. Not that I wanted it to.....

  • I saw my dad play this game when I was like 6, and ever since I heard this song, I've been hooked onto the Ys series. Best song ever XD

  • I just started this game up yesterday and finished it up today. It was ridiculously hard at first. Then decided it was needed to grind. Found a fast way to level, and was maxed in under an hour. Then blew through the game easily till garland. the last 3 bosses I died so many times but managed through it lol

  • @ilovecardj That's why I'm procrastinating so much with the last part of this walkthrough! I know i have to kill galbalan in one go thanks to my recording, and that is NOT gonna be fun to do!

  • @Cellidor-It's all about the Protection Ring & Amulet when fighting Galbalan.. Also it IS possible to get behind Garland when he teleports. Do this & the Power Ring makes quick work of him.

  • @castlevaniaguy86 two things. for one, while the protection ring's invulnerability is nice, its impractical during the fight because of how fast it drains your ring power. second, I do know you can get behind Garland, but seeing as I was recording this as an "all or nothing" recording, I didn't want to risk touching his body and instantly dieing, hense having t re-do this section of the walkthrough from the beginning.

  • @Cellidor-Believe me. I know how easy it is to die. My entire strategy is kill Garland, go back to Redmont & stock up, get to Galbalan without getting hit (easy part) then destroy his arms & kick his ass. Amulet first then constantly equip & unequip the protection ring when the little orange thingy appears & use Brocia's Medicine after you're out of ring magic. You shouldn't even need the healing herb.

  • @castlevaniaguy86 To each their own strategy, I suppose, heh. It's only a shame the fairy amulet doesn't revive you from death like it's supposed to.

  • @Cellidor From what I read, the Fairy Amulet just boosts your EXP gain. Pretty useless seeing as once you have 50,000 gold, you're likely at max level.

  • @Gotmilk0112 That sounds likely, though in either case, it failed rather badly. exp gain? i was at max level at the first quarry. resurrection? doesn't seem to give that either. you know, it'd be -worth- all that money if it actually did revive you.

  • @Cellidor-Actually to my understanding the Fairy Amulet only revives you in the Japanese & PAL versions. In the American version it ups your XP. Too bad you are usually max level by the time you get it. I confirmed this on Gamefaqs & a couple other random websites so it's up to you but I did notice you get a tad bit more XP when you have it.

  • @castlevaniaguy86 Well if that's the case then it really -is- pointless! go figure!

  • @castlevaniaguy86 The Sega Megadrive version still revives you in all versions.

  • Check out the baseline!.... Imagine playing that on a bass guitar.

  • I can imagine most any instrument put to this would sound awesome!

  • I think I'll try this game next, I've heard of it but never played it, I saw some gameplay and it looks like cool... it's not as known as the FF games, but this seems to be good and underrated.

By the way, this music rocks!

  • Glad you're going to give the game a shot! It's really a good classic, and (I think) the remakes are just as great

  • @Ganmapache Most truly good games are underrated... like the Lufia series. Also another underrated game is the Metroid series... they arent AS known as most other things and games... to tell you the truth... The Final Fantasy games are OVERrated.. if you ask me. Another underated game is Final fantasy Mystic Quest... (one of the only good FF games in my opinion)

  • Ah Ys, one of the best franchises ever; both gameplay and music wise. Can't wait for seven, nice upload. ^^

  • funny music 5/5

  • AHHHHH!!! I'm so happy, I haven't heard this since I was a child! It's been stuck in my head ever since, not knowing where it was from!!

  • I feel happy for you! I've had times like that, but some of them are so bad, I actually have to try and forget the tune, since i can't remember he game! XD

  • Where do I find this song I want it

  • search google for "listen to youtube" and paste the url of this video there. It'll make an audio file for you.

  • Even when faced with a mighty dragon, either ice or fire based, he just glances at his sword, shrugs, and charges forward. Normally? this would be suicidal behavior. oh course, this is Adol, so its pretty much his everyday, routine demon killin' XD

  • Lol. Well said. Adol=Chuck norris XD

  • True. I mean, my character was maxed out and i still could not beat him. I remember YEARS ago in 1996 or so, a friend of mine played this game and i saw him beat it. Back then i was not in to such games. Great game this is thou. FUN to play.

  • Great music, great gameplay, fun areas, defiantly one for the 'classics' vault, heh

  • I never beat the last boss. To damn hard. LOL, my character is maxed out and yet still no luck. LOL, just like 7TH Saga game, hard as shit.

  • Gods, don't I know it! I mean, the core that you're SUPPOSED to hit, takes 1/4 of your health when you touch it! The best method I found was to use the time ring when it opens up, or the invincibility one, if you can make it last.

  • Retrotastic.

  • It ages better than wine! mmm, music

  • @Cellidor Darn Tootin'!!

  • FUCK YEAH! wanderers from ys.. doesnt get much better :P

  • Oh, for sure! the classics are always so...well, classic, lol XD

  • awesome dude!

  • I love this sound track!

  • *punches the air* heck yeah!

  • good song, do you have the 1st fight BGM

  • I'm not sure which one that is.

Do you mean the first boss that you fight? because his is the same as all of the others.

  • Do you remember when you fight Dulan or Gillan the fire Dragon?, it plays different music then this music

  • By god your right!

I did a check, it IS different!

I shall upload the second version immediately.

  • @JoeyKincaidKristen because they were different bosses. The game featured bosses and mini bosses. This music was usually for an actual boss guarding one of the statues or the end of a stage.
