Bleck. I have a hard time shopping here. They're super overpriced. Kinda rediculouse actually. I have learned that if the store has an ultra good selection (Super Potato's stock is godly) then they're not worth shopping at. If any of you ever go to Japan - I need you all to remember the name Book-Off/Hard-Off. Only place you can get complete games like DragonForce for the SAT and ChronoTrigger for the SNES for less than 500 yen. Treasure is all over this island. Gotta look though.
@TwistedWinds64 u mean hobby off? i went there last feb and mostly it was used gashapon set and figures , i know its a off-corps , they specialize in used stuff but do u know the location of the game store from this chain? let me know , thanks !
@TheGomgomboy They're all over the place. Some are better than others. I know of two where I live (Yokosuka) and there's one in is Akihabara. Keep in mind that Hard-Off is usually in Book-Off, so if you see a book off, most likely there's one inside of it.
+1 for the NEO-GEO, simply one of the best game consoles ever. I have a 4-slot NEO-GEO upright arcade cabinet in my room, next to a bookcase full of cartridges. :3
I frequent this area in akihabara back in the 80's. Its like a huge toyland for Electronics hobbyist, and tinkerers. There is one place where they would sell a mixture of electronics parts (ics, resistors, capacitors, etc..) per kilo. The variety of electronics kits (ready to assemble) is mind boggling in numbers. .. This is definitely a 'must visit place' for anyone one who is into Electronics.
Does the store have English Game? Everywhere I checked only had Japanese translated games. I'm in a desperate need of English games. Can someone help me. Does Akihabara have English games?
GOD I loved the ending - here in the Balcans we only got NES clones and they played the so called "yellow cartridge" made by Konami. I would of killed to have that chair back then...

Super Potatoe does havy great stuff, but their prices are stupid.
100,000 yen for a sunfaded Darius Alpha is retarded.

The movie "Brewsters Millions" should have used this store. Richard Pryor would have no problem spending 30 million here!

MSX is basically a word-processor???!, Like how the ZX-Spectrum was always used for Serious Business you mean, and not games ;-)
lmcgregoruk 11 months ago
my god i so want 2 go there, i'm definitely saving to also get the Rockman 4 Gold cartridge. I'll own it since there's only 8 in existence.

Let's be honest... If we had the money Donald Trump has, we would be poor when we came out of the store.
