Daughter lives in Houston, she tells me they've been digging dead trees all summer...it's a shame, there's hardly any there anyway. Weather's been extremely warm here in Mid-MO. great site great info. it does surprise me that people r just waking up to the "nuclear energy is clean energy" scam. we were all told that when the plants were going up back in the day. ive seen many msm outlets, from cnn to the history channel inform the sheep of how long it takes for the nuclear waste products to decay & how dangerous the products are. i remember reading about a storage site, in nevada (i think), that was built on/near a fault line. what a great place 2 store such waste

I think there has been an uptick in the average size and frequency of the quakes on the Tectonic Plates. Very concerned for everyone but especially Japan. I wonder how long this will keep up before something really goes. Be safe everyone.

I'm in the snowbelt of Ohio, and its been snow free this year, minus one day, we had an inch ,.. maybe.. Its 45 and nice right now. last year it was a little above 0 most of the time. bigtime windchill. This year has been outright weird. This is not normal weather thus far. I'm fearful we'll make it to February, then we'll get 3 ft, in two days.

One thing I haven't heard mentioned is places like MA, with no snow cover to insulate perennials, they could die if temps dip under freezing for too long. The snow insulates the roots, so if we get a truly cold period but no snow there will be plant die off. Hate to lose my herb garden! Of course, plants might not be healthy anyway due to fallout. Can't win, I guess.
