Hi I have the Cort G285..Ive noticed that you have G270 w / the US lace Sensor pickups. it looks very cool, how much did you pay for it and where did you purchase this fine guitar ?
@wisesatyr72 That was a long time ago, but I didn't actually buy it, got it in a trade for some pedals. It was a really rare guitar, darn shame I sold it.
you play that really good, when you would use a good backing track, and improve a bit your sound quality (is it over webcam mic ?), it could be fantastic...I mean in my ears it is...
Yeah, this was recorded with a cell phone cam. My newer videos are with a newer deluxe webcam, check those out! The quality is way better and I'm getting more and more into blues & swing...
congrats on the job my friend! coincidentally enough, i just happened to land an instructor position with a great school as well. i happen to be teaching this song at the moment also, and have been watching videos to brush up on those lead parts. excellent example, well done!
Thanks! I think it was a G275 - I sold it a year or so ago... still miss it, but I have two Fender Strats now. Those Lace Sensors were really amazing.
This G275 seems to be great, it sounds good! What Fender Strat do you have now? Because I'd like to buy a second guitar, and I can't choose between Cort and Fender ...
I got a Jimmie Vaughan signature MIM Strat and a Roadhouse Deluxe MIM Strat. The Cort is amazing, but if you want a genuine Fender and you know that you won't be satisfied without the logo on the headstock... Fender FTW. It's just got the original feel to it, the one thing that Cort really doesn't have. But I'll probably get Lace Sensors for the Roadhouse.
Put your finger across the 10th fret, play the 2nd and 3rd top string (the G and B string) and bend. It's a double stop, don't play the top E string. Look for a tab on the internet for more info.
Yes, it's hard at first. Don't give up - just practice a lot and work on bendin itself as well. You will gain strength in your fingers in time, don't worry.
I got some of it from Total Guitar magazine, but the most of it I got off the original record (though those tabs are accurate, you really have to listen to the original for the feeling). Train those ears, it's worth it!
It's a Cort G270 Strat with Lace Sensor 3xgold, 1xblue (in HB on bridge position). Great guitar, but I sold it 2 weeks ago (and I already miss it...).

You are a class act. A great player but a better human being giving information to anyone that asks.
