  • Will the regular stones work for something with a mild recurve like the Spyderco Schempp Rock? I guess I will see when my Wicked Edge gets here... My wife got me the Pro pack so I guess I might not be able to reprofile my Rock if the recurve is too tight.

  • Can I hire you as my paper shredder?

  • @Madsoftair I'd love to answer but YouTube doesn't allow me to post the address in the reply but if you Google Wicked Edge, you should see our site pop right up.

  • hey clay. im thinking of buying the wicked edge, cuz it looks awesome. one question though, do you use any type of honing solution, or oil with your stones?

  • Hi. Can u mention to the views that there are clay particles in cardboard's construction to add rigidity and durablity? The particles do dull blades of all kinds when cutting them. Thanx.

  • What angle would you consider to sharpen a Gerber Mark 2?

  • @MrSTOOPIDASS Most blades like the Mark 2 are ground at a very wide angle, usually close to 30 degrees per side.

  • Would this be what you reccomend for kukri style blades? Such as the CS Spartan and Rajah...

  • @tybeejeffro These would be perfect for those blades.

  • Been wanting one of your sharpeners since I first seen it! Just can't justify the price yet...awsome sharpener though.

  • @BTSchnauzers Give me a shout at the office or by on email. Maybe we can come up with something for you.

  • @clayallison1969 Hey im ready to talk..started my knife collection recently and would love to be able to keep them sharp. Do you have something in mind that would work for me?

  • Hi.

Not certain. However have you tried to use your wicked edge to sharpen ceramic knives.

Normally ceramic knives are very difficult to sharpen with conventional hones.

  • @cobalt120 Thanks for asking. You inspired me to check it out on my Kyocera ceramic knife. I sharpened it this morning and got good results. Not perfect like with a steel blade, but acceptable.

  • @clayallison1969

Hi. Glad you enjoyed the challenge.

I did try the lansky hone kit on a ceramic knife with less than stellar results.

I have the Kyrocera ceramic knife sharpener. It's *ONLY* good for ceramic knives and does give so to speak a wicked sharp edge. However for 100$ US, it's out of most peoples price range

I had a feeling your wicked edge would work of ceramic knives. The WEdge has better motion & pressure than normal honing techniques.

    Well done.
