Die Navy Seals sollte man nicht unterschätzen, die haben schon das ein oder andere Mal mit dem SAS zusammengearbeitet, und sich nicht als weniger effektiv erwiesen. Näheres unterliegt wohl der Geheimhaltung. Die SEALs sind das KSK + Kampfschwimmer kombiniert. Haben jede Waffe der Welt zur Verfügung, anständige Hubschrauber, im Gegensatz zum KSK, und sogar Mini U-Boote ( SDV's ) welche die Kampfschwimmer nicht haben.

Germany's army was decimated by the allies in WWII.

Germany was bankrupt at the end of WWII and suffered from hyper inflation. German money was worthless. Some Germans burned it to keep warm in the winter.

Germany was also forced to return everything they stole from the countries they conquered, subjugated, destroyed, and looted.

Germany didn't pay for shit! On the contrary, they got TONS of aid from the US to help them rebuild.

But they have helped in creating many weapons etc. that we've used. For example the Hechler & Koch MP5 that the SAS still use to this day.

You guys go in guns blazing believing you're doing the right thing but all you ever do is cause more trouble. Vietnam, Iraq, Afganistan. Why were you in Iraq for so long after Saddam's death if the whole reason for going there was to kill him? 600,000 civilians have died in Iraq since the US got involved...

The whole reason for going into Iraq wasn't necessarily to kill Sadam. It was to remove him and his regime from power. This was a government that had WMDs and was willing to use it against anyone, including their own people. Sadam had invaded 3 countries and was a supporter of terrorism. It doesn't take a stretch of the imagination to think that he might provide one of these terrorist groups with WMDs to attack us by proxy.

You can't just walk away after removing a country's government and power structure. There was a power vacuum and a power struggle going on between the different factions. The last thing we wanted was to have a similar government, or a worse government take over after the fall of Sadam. There would have been all out civil war and hundreds of thousands more would have been killed had we just left. We had to stay to ensure the transition to a more moderate govt.

What really happened????

Kuwait was liberated. Sadam's army was driven back and largely destroyed.

Saudi Arabia was saved from invasion.

A no fly zone was established in Northern and Southern Iraq, patrolled by US aircraft. The Kurds were saved from inhalation.

Sadam and his regime removed from power, democratic govt. established. Iraqi people got to vote for the 1st time.

Ich hab zwei Jahre bei den Rangers unserer Streitkräfte gedient, war echt hart, habs deswegen auch nicht länger durchgehalten. Unter unseren Ausbildern befanden sich oft Offiziere des SAS, professionelleren Soldaten bin ich nie begegnet. Ich weiss nicht, wie es mit eurem KSK aussieht, ob es mit dem SAS mithalten kann, aber unser Ranger Wing kann den Briten nicht das Wasser reichen. (Ich war eine Zeit auf einer Airbase in GER, weiss aber nicht, wie gut mein Deutsch ist. Verbesserung wär nett)

ihr könnt ganz sicherlich nicht beurteilen was die beste spezialeinheit ist... das kann man vllt wenn man das training von allen durchläuft und sie daran misst wie sie ausgebildet werden. generel werden warsch. alle ziemlich gleich ausgebildet.

der ksk ist mit unter eine der besten und es gibt nicht viele gute spezialeinheiten.

den ksk macht vorallem das aus das sie nicht auf befehle vom bund warten müssen und alles geheim ist. das wird bei den anderen nicht anderst sein

Fakt ist das das viele Spezialeinheiten regelmäßig zum SAS kommen um dort zu trainieren seien es die Amerikaner, Israelis oder auch die Deutschen.

@graw4444 Naja ich geb dir da schon recht, allerdings schläft niemand und alles entwickelt sich sehr schnell, wir beide haben sicher keine genaue Ahnung was die im Detail machen, aber ich finde man kann die beste Spezialeinheit nicht bestimmen. Ich finde da spielen viel zu viele Faktoren eine rolle als das man soetwas bestimmen kann.

Also ich würd ja meinen, dass die Seals auch Top sind aber vllt etwas überschätzt werden wohngegen der SAS einfach Spitze ist. Ich glaub allerdings auch dass das KSK mitlerweile fast auf SAS Level angelangt ist! die sind hald einfach nicht so berühmt weil sie erst n paar jahre existieren!

Auserdem haben sie den krassen vorteil permanent unterschätzt zu werden!

French Foriegn Legion cannot be compared to SAS. The Legion is the equivelent of Tier 2 level, the same as Royal Marines/UK Paras/US Rangers etc. SAS/SBS/DEVGRU/1st SFOD etc are tier 1 and their completely different in how they operate. The Legion for example will operate like infantry i.e. in Platoons where as tier 1 SF operate in 4/8 man sqads. If your going to compare a French unit with SAS then compare their newly formed 1er RPIMa. The selection process for tier1 is far more brutal
