What a jerk! Why doesn't he say that she CAN move the foot, BUT she functionally can't because the PAIN IS SO EXCRUCIATING, and would become infinitely more excruciating if she did. That the extra pain caused by moving it could last for months or permanently!
That CRPS pain is more painful than 1st time childbirth, or having a digit amputated!
If you're in that kind of pain, it would be truly frightening to worsen it! The only reason to do it, is if they could promise to resolve the pain.
