I found this novel called The Suicide Game that feels like a Tarantino novel and even has a character that seems to be Tarantino himself. It features a black hitman, a murderous priest, and a gay phone sex operator. I downloaded it for free at smashwords . com and it was awesome.
i dont get how the son got shot. the dad was pointing the gun at the one guy and so was the son and the guy had the gun pointed at the dad so who the heck shot the son
@DiamondsGlow87 No one shot him. Mr White was supposed to shoot Joe (dad) and then the son before himself getting shot. but the charge on Mr Whites chest (device telling him when to fall down) went off early after he shot Joe so he just went down and the son's charge went of as well so he went down even though no one shot him. Tarantino said to just leave it as it is because it will be the biggest controversy about the film. So they left it with technically no one shooting him.
@DiamondsGlow87 Actually It was Mr. White. The Dad shot Mr. Orange, then Mr. White shot the Dad, then the son shot Mr. White and finally when Mr. White started to fall then he shot the son. In this video is really hard to see, get a bluray disc and play it frame by frame. Damn, Mr. White is one tough son of a bit..
@markraz20 i don't know man.. you are probably right, I heard the sounds, it sounded like shooting so they probably killed or arrested him. but i just watched the movie (for the 3rd-4th time :P) and i think all that happened a couple of minutes after mr pink left the room. so... i don't know, but i hope he got away, he was a cool guy :P i also think that this was how it was meant to happen. the one who was just doing his job took the diamonds and got away. awesome!
@markraz20 Actually, what i heard when i turned up the volume that Mr.Pink ran away ! but that's what Tarantino wants from us, making us wonder what happened to Mr.Pink .
@SuicidalBuu You don't know that. He gets out of the building a good couple of seconds before the cops arrived. When you see the layout of the the building when there outside of it he could of easily went to his left and ran around the building and found a place to hide. I guess it's up to the viewer to decide if he got caught or not. Plus you don't hear them yell "STOP" outside when he goes out, or any gun shots.
Joe should have deceptively lowered his gun and shot keitel at the next available chance. Then off'd Orange. Easy. Then him and fat Penn and Pink could have skipped away into the sunset (blvd) that much richer. I know it's just a (great) movie but imjustsayin
Fucking pigs eating donuts outside lol. Honestly, didn't they say they were going to go in when Joe came in? What the fuck were they waiting for? But at this point in the movie, I actually kinda liked the bad guys like Mr. White and Pink. Blonde was a fucking nut though.
You gonna bark all day little doggie? Or are ya gonna bite?
Great camera angles, great screenplay, great soundtrack, great actors, great director, this movie was just the greatest I swear I'm showing this to my kids someday.
That's what was intended but while filming the scene, Harvey Keitel's squib (explosive charge used to simulate gun shot) went off at the same time that he shot Lawrence Tierney (Joe). Chris Penn's squib went off right afterward and so he just fell down when everyone else did. Tarentino admitted that it was a mistake but left the scene as is.
@magillagorilla4sale Mr pink probably got caught because the cops knew about the place and were only waiting for joe to get there to make their move. Pink must have opened the door and seen 50 cops. I'd like to think he shot his way out again though :D
@arhoptt I hear no shots, just a lot of commotion. "Put the gun down", and then you can hear Mr. Pink yelling something back, but I didn't hear one gunshot.
Sorry for double posting but I just want to applaud the incredible acting. All of the main cast are brilliant of course, especially Roth, Keitel and Buscemi. In this particular scene though, Chris Penn steals the show.
Have you ever felt such realism in a man's final words about his father? A mixture of anger, fear, and sadness while trying to appear rough. That line right before a chain of bullets and three fallen bodies. This scene is a huge jolt to anyone's emotions.
If you have the DVD, and watch it in slow motion. You would had realized that Mr. White fired two shots, and angled the second shot towards, Mr. Nice Guy Eddie.
I always thought Mr Pink shot Eddie from his hiding place. Ever the opportunist, he saw it as a chance to escape with the diamonds all for himself :) but you're right, Mr White's gun goes off twice.
@poopchunk3 i know. Tarantino wanted to do it in one take for time purposes, but Chris Penn's squib went off to early. He kept the scene in and ppl noticed. they even made shits that said, "Who Shot Nice Guy Eddie?"
@poopchunk3 mr. white did. he was quick enough to get joe and eddie at one swoop, plus eddie hesitated a bit. probably didnt think he would shoot his own dad.

i heard that there is a Mexican standoff in every Tarantino movie but i cant remember one in Kill Bill i could probably find one in Jackie Brown and death proof if i watched them but i dont wanna take the time. can some one enlighten me?
@striker764 not really see for it to be a Mexican standoff there has to be danger in killing the other person. Se if the bride strikes first she will win and live. in a Mexican standoff like this one even if Mr white shot first he was still doomed to be shot by nice guy Eddie. I'm thinking though that maybe there was one during the crazy 88 fight scene
@striker764 thats just because Beatrix got the better of him. if there was a third person protecting the bride than that would be a Mexican standoff. There has to be at least 3 people for a MS.Eg Joe-Mr White-Eddie in res dogs. Jewels-Yolanda-Vincent in pulp fiction. In inglourious basterds there were 2: Helstrom-Hicox-Stiglitz. and Master sergeant Wilhelm-Aldo Reine-The rest of the basterds .
@starcraftification Mr. Orange was an under cover cop rat who botched the whole job and was the cause of everyone getting killed in the end. Now lets listen to some K-billys sounds of the seventies. My personal favorite. How bout some fire scarecrow?
In this scene, that bald old guy has a washing cloth when he lies down on the ground because he didn't like his head on concrete :p In the color scene, the same bald guy talks to his own. This is later mixed with the rest of the guys :-)
Michael Madsen says that in this interview /watch?v=ch16-yWvEz4
Man, don't you see when Mr. White (Larry) walked in, barely glanced at Mr. Blonde's body and ran straight to Mr. Orange leaving Eddie the surprise of viewing his best friend's bloodied body himself?
i cant believe that some people cant understand that mr.white did shoot eddie. joe shot orange, white shot joe, eddie shot white twice, then white shot eddie. white just didnt pull the gun over enough to make it realistic but its pretty damn obvious that's what was supposed to happen. its a small flaw in the movie. big deal. that doesnt make me like it any less and it shouldnt for you either
Seeing as how Mr. Orange did not have a loaded gun at that time, Mr. White is really the only possible candidate for Eddie's shooting. A far-fetched theory is that Mr. Pink, hiding underneath the ramp shot Eddie, so Pink would be the last man standing and get away with the diamonds. Though he seemed to want to stay out of it completely.
Anyone else reminded of Hamlet? The cops get there and everyone is already dead just like in Hamlet when the opposing army breaks into the castle to only find everyone alrady dead.
Yes, it's a Shakespeare-flavoured movie: the extremely simple plot turned into something wonderful by the dialogues, the Commode Story scene which is the 'theatre in the theatre' equivalent...Funny coincidence, Tim Roth came from a Shakespearian training.
And all these Elizabethan elements lead to an ending dominated by ancient-flavoured holy values: Friendship and, above all, HONOUR, that nowadays, alack!, are almost forgiven.
@WILLOCO1 i don't think thats what happened. remember, orange emptied his gun on blonde so the way it happened was, Joe shot orange, white shot Joe, Eddie shot white while white with enough strength shot Eddie.
@MovieMan9991 In my opinion, it's almost hard to have a favorite character. Tim Roth's role would be too easy to be a favorite because you know the most about him which makes him the least corrupt and therefore, he has the least amount of appeal. Steve Buscemi's character is hardly accountable because he's what the characters are supposed to be "a professional" but the audience winds up disliking him at points. Harvey Keitel, c'mon, man. He's stuck in his own little world, man.
@ThinkWhatIsNotThunk Well everybody has their opinions, I do agree with you in some ways, so I am not denying your opinion, I was just trying to express mine, but even though you can't pick, which one would you be more appealed to?.
@FireFart179 Lets see, he has been laying there for at least an hour, bleeding to death from a gunshot wound to the stomach. Would you have enough energy to do all of that shit if that happened to you ?
@Tehpredator105 I broke my toe today, and while it hurt, I think I could at least gain enough strength to man through the pain just long enough to move a few feet over the course of 15+ minutes to untie Marvin. While Marvin is probably still in shock and losing blood fast, he could at least make it out side to signal the police.
Orange died for no reason, the diamonds alone proves him red-handed.
@FireFart179 I believe that there is a big difference between getting shot in the stomach, and breaking your toe. I really don't believe that if someone got shot in the stomach, layed there for an hour, bleeding like mad, they just won't be able to just get up, untie a person, who is already pretty fucked up, and drag him out of the warehouse, while avoiding the other gangsters.
No, I didn't say drag him. I said that he could slowly drag himself. I'm not saying that with a toe its as bad as getting shot in the stomach, but the fact you can get around with that means that you have the potential to move over there and use a knife (I don't think having a knife would be a stretch) and untie him. He has working legs, and yes, probably delerious but that doesnt mean he couldnt make it to the door and signalled the cops. The other gangsters wern't even there
@FireFart179 That could take alot of time to crawl over to the cop, use a knife, which we don't know if he has one or not, and untie him. The gangsters came back after a few minutes when Mr.Orange shot Mr.Blonde. So when they would exit the door..the other gangsters will probably be just a few yards away from the entrance, walking back. And they would be like, "What the fuck is going on here ?". Then all hell breaks lose.
But even after he could have at least loosened them enough to free him, and reloaded his gun, giving it to Nash. He could've said Nash had managed free and then drawn a gun and wait for them if they really are that far away.
If not, the men would already be there and the police on their way. No Orange blamed for killing him that means no standoff probably.
@ladodger1992 I in no fucking way made a comparison of that sort. I said I couldn't walk when I first broke it, just like how Mr. Orange clearly couldn't walk. I'm just saying that if he really wanted to, he might've been able to manage to at least pull himself over there or even ask to be taken out of the warehouse.
Mr Orange should have been dead. He was already bleeding to death for hours... then he gets shot again by the boss. ?????????

@jiberjaber244 No; he escaped, lost the diamonds, and was forced to become a waiter at a shitty restaurant to scrape an honest living.

i love how simple this movie is its amazing

Seeing as how Mr. Orange did not have a loaded gun at that time, Mr. White is really the only possible candidate for Eddie's shooting. A far-fetched theory is that Mr. Pink, hiding underneath the ramp shot Eddie, so Pink would be the last man standing and get away with the diamonds. Though he seemed to want to stay out of it completely.

I must correct two mistakes of mine.
1) "...that nowadays are almost FORGOTTEN", not 'forgiven'. Forgive me!
2) "Alack is Elizabethan for...", without 'the' before Elizabethan...I think.
Shame on me. Be patient, I'm Italian.

Alack is the Elizabethan for "oh dear me!" and similar.

Anyone else reminded of Hamlet? The cops get there and everyone is already dead just like in Hamlet when the opposing army breaks into the castle to only find everyone alrady dead.
rechedelphar 1 year ago
@rechedelphar
We need more "criminals" like Lawrence Dimmick.

White shot Joe, Eddie shot white, Orange shot Eddie. Joe fired at Orange, That's what happened.
WILLOCO1 1 year ago
@WILLOCO1 i don't think thats what happened. remember, orange emptied his gun on blonde so the way it happened was, Joe shot orange, white shot Joe, Eddie shot white while white with enough strength shot Eddie.

Looks like he's not Mr. Blonde anymore, I guess now he's Mr. Red.

My favorite characters would have to be: Steve Buscemi (Mr.Pink), Harvey Keitel (Mr.White) and Tim Roth (Mr.Orange).
MovieMan9991 1 year ago 15
@MovieMan9991 In my opinion, it's almost hard to have a favorite character. Tim Roth's role would be too easy to be a favorite because you know the most about him which makes him the least corrupt and therefore, he has the least amount of appeal. Steve Buscemi's character is hardly accountable because he's what the characters are supposed to be "a professional" but the audience winds up disliking him at points. Harvey Keitel, c'mon, man. He's stuck in his own little world, man.
ThinkWhatIsNotThunk 1 year ago
@ThinkWhatIsNotThunk Well everybody has their opinions, I do agree with you in some ways, so I am not denying your opinion, I was just trying to express mine, but even though you can't pick, which one would you be more appealed to?.

I don't get why Orange hadn't just untied the cop and gotten the fuck out of there.
FireFart179 1 year ago
@FireFart179 Lets see, he has been laying there for at least an hour, bleeding to death from a gunshot wound to the stomach. Would you have enough energy to do all of that shit if that happened to you ?
Tehpredator105 1 year ago
@Tehpredator105 I broke my toe today, and while it hurt, I think I could at least gain enough strength to man through the pain just long enough to move a few feet over the course of 15+ minutes to untie Marvin. While Marvin is probably still in shock and losing blood fast, he could at least make it out side to signal the police.
Orange died for no reason, the diamonds alone proves him red-handed.
FireFart179 1 year ago
@FireFart179 I believe that there is a big difference between getting shot in the stomach, and breaking your toe. I really don't believe that if someone got shot in the stomach, layed there for an hour, bleeding like mad, they just won't be able to just get up, untie a person, who is already pretty fucked up, and drag him out of the warehouse, while avoiding the other gangsters.
Tehpredator105 1 year ago
@Tehpredator105
The other gangsters wern't even there
FireFart179 1 year ago
@FireFart179 That could take alot of time to crawl over to the cop, use a knife, which we don't know if he has one or not, and untie him. The gangsters came back after a few minutes when Mr.Orange shot Mr.Blonde. So when they would exit the door..the other gangsters will probably be just a few yards away from the entrance, walking back. And they would be like, "What the fuck is going on here ?". Then all hell breaks lose.
Tehpredator105 1 year ago
@Tehpredator105

@FireFart179 you are wrong be realistic i agree with Tehpredator105 .

FireFart179 1 year ago
@FireFart179 if u got shot in the stomach u would be fucked trust me breaking ur toe is something else
ladodger1992 1 year ago
@ladodger1992 I in no fucking way made a comparison of that sort. I said I couldn't walk when I first broke it, just like how Mr. Orange clearly couldn't walk. I'm just saying that if he really wanted to, he might've been able to manage to at least pull himself over there or even ask to be taken out of the warehouse.
