I cry every time I listen to Uudam sing. I listen every day so I cry everyday but it brings me so much joy. Indeed he is the little prince that sings to make the world a better place which is made green with life.
His beautiful voice is pure and full of emotions. When he closes his eyes I think he can see his dead mother's beautiful face ... that's when the tears fall hard. I wish the strong and brave Uudam all the very best and hope he continues to sing for the world.

I think the edited version is more powerful and strong and very emotional, and so I like it in that sense, but his real voice is sweet and innocent, and just as emotional. I can't choose a favourite <3

I personally think that they "overdubbed" his performance with his version of the song on CD and not Baator's. Look up Baator's CD version of this song and compare it to the "dubbed" version of this video. Two completely different versions.
I'm so glad I found this video and was able to hear Uudam's real voice. It's quite a painful realization that someone would undermine the sincerity of this poor boy, just for a small increase in sound quality.

This is the best version of "Mother i the Dream" (in Chinese translation) or "Mother in Distance" (in original Mongolian meaning).
The more you listen to his song, the more you love Uudam. I have listened more than hundred times. I still prefer that Uudam's version is better for this "mom loving" song. His voice can bring all our hearts together thinking about our mom together. Regardless your mom is alive or pass away, who can forget your mom? Thinking about mom's love to us, we cry together with his song every time. Although Uudam did not cry in front of the public, his voice let us know that his heart is crying.

I noticed 3 differences between this and the dubbed version. 1. Baator sings in a higher key. 2. Uudam makes the throaty r sound (like the French r) and Baator doesn't. 3. Uudam has a softer and more delicate voice which you can listen to as you fall asleep and Baator's voice is stronger and more hoarse. the TV station dubbed over his voice because nobody could understand the Mongolian dialect. so they put it best in mandarin is my best guess but the translation was off so nobody understood it anyways. i think it was cruel of them to do it, this was Uudamu's song i think his voice should have been brodcasted.

This song can have 2 meanings, "Mother" in Baator is about a mother of land or homeland, "mother" in Uudam in his mother. That's why when u hear Baator singing, u can feel the strong and the proud, and when u hear Uudam, you feel the soft and the love. Both are very beautiful in every way.

I noticed 3 differences between this and the dubbed version. 1. Baator sings in a higher key. 2. Uudam makes the throaty r sound (like the French r) and Baator doesn't. 3. Uudam has a softer and more delicate voice which you can listen to as you fall asleep and Baator's voice is stronger and more hoarse. Both versions are fantastic but should be recognized separately and it infuriates me to think that someone thought this incredibly moving performance wasn't good enough and should be dubbed ove

I would much rather hear this boy's real voice instead of the dubbed version, which is truly unkind to the boy. He is beautiful and talented by himself! I just wish he and other singers could be heard without the pop music track, which takes away from his own sound and character.

the TV station dubbed over his voice because nobody could understand the Mongolian dialect. so they put it best in mandarin is my best guess but the translation was off so nobody understood it anyways. i think it was cruel of them to do it, this was Uudamu's song i think his voice should have been brodcasted.

Thank you for pointing this out! Apparently "Mother in the Dream" comes from the bad intepretation of Alsad suugaa eej as 夢中的額吉. It would then seem Mother Far Away is more appropriate!
