one bolt holding all that weight at the back thought, that worries me. I have a powetec leverage and I train alone with it and I have to admit I have overloaded the bar a few times but its all on one fairly skinny bolt at the back which scares me.
@soundmusiclover Not sure which bolt you are referring to, but the steel axis at the pivot point will never break. There are 4 bolts that attach back pads to the lifting arm. They have a sleeve arrangement that will tear the weld before anything happens.
I have seen loads of these over the year and they don't just fall apart, even after years of hard training. Plus you shouldn't be driving backwards to stress that sleeve.
@SamsFitnessComAu Yes the pivot point is what i meant its just one bolt holding all that weight. even when its not being used it is holding the weight at its pivot point which seems like a big duty just for one long thin bolt. Ive just always thought it may be dangerous when putting big weights on to rely on one bolt.
@GetDownOrLayDown31 Calm down! He's demonstrating how strong a piece of equipment is by using it through its range of movement to prove that it can cope with over 700lb (far more than you'd ever actually use it for). People don't read do they?
What i am concerned about if he decided to do this on his own, or anyone else for that, he had someone to place the safety pin back in, how could he do that on his own?
Hey that is why I put the warning at the start saying for people not to try it.
We just wanted to demonstrate that the Powertec gym equipment was built tough. A lot of our customers in Australia can't see the weight training equipment before they buy it. So I just want to show everyone that it is the real deal
@SamsFitnessComAu He is really strong and cool as hell. Sure others might lift more but for his size he is amazing. I met him years ago when he was a up and coming star and he is still an idol for me in bodybuilding. Keep truck'n bro.....

@soundmusiclover Hey that isn't a bolt, its solid steel. It just has threads at either end. That is the strongest part of the whole gym!!
Plus remember too that the weight is mostly supported by the user when lifting, or the start/stop mechanism.

lee is my fav. no doubt. his body, and his attitude towards bodybuilding.. he's the best. Real Superman.

The strongest that you know of? Really?
1134BlackLabel 2 years ago
Lee might not be the strongest in terms of 1 rep max.
But I tell you if you totaled the amount of weight he lifted over an entire workout it would be a fair amount.
He was telling me his leg workouts can go up to 3 hours. Plus he likes to pound out a lot of sets and reps.
So I guess it all depends on your definition of strength
