  • We have since had a few people actually ride the bike. The feedback both from the racers and the street ride have all been very positive.

  • i had a 600cc bike. It didn t last a year...To much of horse power to a small engine like it, means ready to be destroyed. I m not a kid. i know how to get most of my bike. Buy a 1000cc bike boys. Almost same money, and believe me. Better work by factories on them

  • If anyone can use this bike as a teaching aid I believe that they can. Maybe bikes like this exist because of all the "riders" out there who never even tried to learn how to ride properly, and don't realize that a 600cc sport bike produces more power than any of us can actually utilize.

  • I'm an old school kind of guy. I like all the new "toys and tricks" on the new bikes (throttle control, slipper clutches, abs, high tech electronics, etc.) but to me, the real skilled riders are the guys who ride well without any of that stuff. Being able to control how you let out a clutch on a downshift, or how much you open the throttle coming out of a corner are all skills that separate the good riders from the bad. I've been to CSS, and I believe in their system.

  • "I do know that The kaws were bulletproof for Keith's school for all those years. I'll tell you right now my prediction is that those BMW's will break down regularly, and that Will (the mechanic) will need 4 guys to help him keep up."

I've trained with the CSS and I know Will, that was the first thing that came to mind is that its going to be a big transition for him to maintain an entire squad of all new bikes, but Will is SO good at what he does that I don't doubt him for a second.

  • Well, you might say that, but we are still RIDING the bike. This bike, with it's traction control, and ABS, and lean angel sensor, and wheelie sensors, Jesus Christ the bike is doing more than half of the work!! All the fine reflexes and skills that we have to use on our old bikes aren't even needed on this bike hardly.

Don't get me wrong, I think this bike is really cool in it's own way, I also found a price tag of $19,000 USD. You won't see many on the street, that's for sure.

  • Does anybody know what this bike costs? Is it in the U.S. for sale even right now?

But here's the BIG question: Will it turn a fast lap time on any roadcourse than a ZX10 or a GSXR 1000??? I could care less about the power, anybody can go fast in a straight line with lots of power. I also don't really care what it weighs. Tell me how fast it is around a track with the average rider on it. If the thing is thousands more than a Jap bike, which I bet it is, then it damn well better be quick!

  • I'm a racer at the club level, and I think that all the rider aids on a production bike are kinda silly.

I'd never say though that if riders need those aids that they shouldn't be on a liter bike. For example, World Superbike. Those bikes have traction control.

I do know that The kaws were bulletproof for Keith's school for all those years. I'll tell you right now my prediction is that those BMW's will break down regularly, and that Will (the mechanic) will need 4 guys to help him keep up.

  • @64racer There's eventually going to be an entire generation of riders who learn to ride on "crutches" so to speak. Then again, if you compare the technology we have now (tires, suspension, powerful bikes) to the technology say, 30 years ago...we ARE that generation.

  • If a rider needs all the electronics to ride a liter bike then they shouldn't be on one.

  • You mean like Spies and Rossi? They have Traction control on their bikes

  • It would be fun to watch them ride their bikes with out it. Especially Stoner. My guess is Rossi doesn't need it. It's all in the head and the wrist, that's your traction control. My point is get the experience first then get the Hp's. More stuff to break, but more money for BMW service, I guess :0 My personal experience as a BMW owner. Looks great though :).

  • @Diabilita

None of them need it to be competitive. Fiat yamaha definitely had the best bike this year. They also happened to have a couple of the best riders. Winning combination.

  • @Diabilita ...The words coming from an IDIOT.

  • Patiently looking forward to the Race Mode right now.

  • And a new era of riders who use traction control and abs and think they can ride has arrived.

  • @bigbad1000do7a

    Haha agreed.

  • I want one..

  • IMHO The most advanced new streetbike on the market. I think a lot of peeps looking for a liter bike and don't want to kill themselves, this is it. Just leave it in rain mode for a while.

  • @cyclesportstv Don't underestimate the determination of the squids. They'll still kill themselves. ;)

  • A squid can kill themselves on a scooter. This just puts the odds more on the surviving side.

  • @cyclesportstv 155hp will still kill you no doubt but for sure, with all the electronics on the limit has been moved.

about the 600 vs litrebike: there is nothing that says that the faster bike kills more people. It´s a myth.

The idiots will kill themselves even if it´s a 50cc or 5000cc bike.
