Nice try. FDR started weapon leasing programs for the Allies when WWII broke out - he knew the US would ultimately be involved, just as it was in WWI. Operation Torch, with heavy American aid, spiked the Allied invasion into North Africa. Operation Avalanche, under the UK and US, led to the invasion of Italy.

The Russians could only offer a meek resistance to the German invasion in Operation Barbarossa. American/Allied aid ultimately allowed the Soviets to turn the Nazis around.

And the US Marines were in the Island hopping campaigns waving Flags over Iwo jima and about to invade the Japan mainland before the descision was made to nuke Japan.
