Yeah there's things not ideal about the situation but it being recognised as a medicine makes it impossible for them to keep up the lies that it's harmful. Obviously it shouldn't be illegal to grow your own anyway. It's a total nightmare how such a thing can be imposed.

To put that in perspective here we pay about 18 in 100 as the lowest possible tax on earnings, whether PAYE or self-employed. Not sure though if you guys pay other taxes on earnings there. Then there's national insurance, council tax, VAT on many products bought...& there's no jobs if you've got a brain that works anyway.

Well, the fact that Oakland voters passed this is a great start. Hopefully other cities will follow, then that will hopefully force the entire state to consider it. If all of California does pass something like this then it would make other states consider the same thing. Then we will put the pressure on the feds to end the prohibition. I personally don't like the idea of having to pay a tax on a natural plant, but if that's what it takes, I will pay.
