Hypothesis 2 : Otacon was in love with Sniper Wolf, but ever since she died, he tried to seek advice upon the man whom he considers as his 'big brother', resulting into this cutscene.

I think their relationship might be one of the most interesting in the series. The amount of trust they have in each other is astounding, not to mention they're pretty funny to listen to most of the time. They're such opposites--Otacon the nerd and Snake the soldier. Best friends. Really fascinating.

I feel an alien could be intrigued by MGS' rather striking themes and exploration of human values, ie, read up on the gene, meme, scene and sense thematics of each game which Kojima intended in subtlety.

And think, these hypothetical aliens might have virtually no concept on hetero or homosexuality, yet would more greatly identify with or find something facinating about our race in the MGS saga's broad scope of philosophy and message than a typical 'I'm a badass cunt who saves the girl' film.

Fakt ist, in MGS1 war die englische Synchro qualitativ sehr nah am japanischen Original, zuweilen hab ich selber Schwierigkeiten, mich zu entscheiden, welche Stimmen ich jetzt besser finde, wechselt immer, mal so, mal so.

Leider hat die Qualität im Englischen dann aber von Teil zu Teil nachgelassen, MGS3 war der bisherige Tiefpunkt, im Japanischen hingegen blieb die Qualität wesentlich konstanter, ich glaube, die hat in MGS3 sogar ihren Höhepunkt erreicht.

Man muss ja dazu sagen, Kojima sucht die japanischen Sprecher selbst raus und führt bei der Synchro auch Regie, in einigen Fällen hat er die Charaktere sogar für die Sprecher geschrieben und sie nicht erst im Nachhinein gecastet. Mit der englischen Synchro hat er nichts zu tun, also auch wenn die englische Synchro in MGS1 großartig war und in MGS2 und 3 immer noch gut, die japanische hat dadurch mehr authentizität.
