But again the antis from the Gun Control Network want long-barrelled revolvers and balckpowder pistols banned too,as they claim that these are as dangerous as centrefire and rimfire, pistols.Well they can get lost and sod off back to Edinburgh.
Why not? because two evil little perverted scumbags called Micheal 'evil Ramo' Ryan and Thomas Hamilton, decided to murder lots of people with their legally-own guns.Ryan used an AK47,M1Carbine and a Bereta 92F,in 1987 in Hungerford and Thomas Hamilton used his Browning HI-Power 9mms and .357 magnums,to kill little kids with,in Dunblane primary school in 1996.Now thats why, unfortunately.
Hehe, I was working up the ranges in the Summer, I wonder if my Dad was with Less that day, (the guys in the office in that little place). Nice video.
The video was obviously shot in the Melvile range at Bisley in the UK. Muzzle Loading Black Powder Pistols are still permiited in the UK, as are long barreled pistols.
Britain. Machineguns, semi-auto fullbore rifles and metallic cartridge pistosl are illegal but most other things are not, such as the black powder pistols used here.
Being an American, I'm not going to comment on the technique as I realize you don't get much opportunity to shoot. Everybody was safe (except for lack of eye protection...). I use lubricated felt wads in my cap and balls - they seal the bore behind the ball and also keep it clean during shooting - that's why you use wadding. Good Video!
@Ilovemyoldguitar These are OX Yoke brand IIRC - they are lubed with Thompson's Bore Butter and work great. Keep the bore nice and clean and you can shoot all day using them. You can get them from the usual places like Cabelas, Buffalo Arms, Dixie Gun Works, etc.
bloody hell, hold the gun tighter! your gonna end up dropping it. its not like black powder has much recoil anyway. also, you use wadding in a pistol? why?
Nice video. A minor point, though: The gun you're shooting is a .44 but it's not a Colt. It's a Ruger "Old Army" model and is a modern design of a cap & ball gun made by the modern american manufacturer Sturm & Ruger.
I just got a Colt replica and I hope to shoot it soon. Untill I do, I'll have to content myself watching videos. ^_^
What gun is that?

It was their first time shooting so I think they did fine. We have some fine shooters in the UK but they've had the chance to practice ;)

@theoriginalOSOK felt wads in pistol??? I've never seen anyone do that. Do you make your own?

Wadding improves accuracy and make for a cleaner shot which means less time cleaning and more time shooting!
