  • Byron didn't sound as good in concert. He's almost annoying!!!

  • Не понравилось качество и звука и видео .

  • Loved the band but Dave sounds toasted in this one.

  • lol @ this fked up oldies version! xD man what I would give to travel back to those times!!!

  • the singer fucks up, but it's a cool song...

  • i know it's probably because they haven't got any monitors, but the singer sounds werry :-S

  • One of the best in 70's

  • BYRON IS NEVER FORGOTTEN!!!

  • Great live !

  • Die Band hatte nur einen richtig guten Song und das war Lady in Black, ansonsten waren Sie zur damaligen Zeit 2.Liga!

  • uriah heep forever...

  • Donnie Darko

  • Surkein kuulemani Live esitys heiltä`???

  • if u remember he had a drinking problem?who are u then,oh so u really loved these guys but he had a drinking problem, dont be so stupid everyone ha problems, they didnt let hime go he lost the plot thats all, dosent retract from the fact he was the dogs bollocks and they have never been the same without him god bless him

  • @jackeen2001 I agree. Byron can't be replaced! One of a kind.

  • David Byron WAS uriah heep...great singer.

  • ... ein selbstverliebter, völlig bekiffter Leadsänger der mindestens einen halben Ton drunter singt - da habe ich live von Heep schon viel Besseres gesehen !!!

  • Gary Thain was my major influence as a base player.

then the heroin took over :(

  • A real real big shit from Byron ... And I'm a big fan of them ... I've got all their LP's ... Ok, I forgive him... RIP

  • The Heep fell in a heap when they kicked Byron out of the band. A big mistake!

  • @MottTheWot makes no difference...he died soon after anyways.

  • @ArchPrelate David Byron died in 1985! Almost 10 years after he was given the boot from Uriah Heep, many of those bands at the time wanted to sound like Queen, god only knows why. Uriah Heep had run it's course by 1976 anyway and although they staggerred through while Deep Purple ceased to be, nothing musically substantial can be found there after. Once Hensley quit in 1980 that was the final nail in the coffin. Byron was a great singer, they made some great albums, all in the the early 1970's!

  • @MottTheWot watch?v=Hnv90Dmmr_Q&feature=related

still think they fell in a heap?

  • @MottTheWot MICHAEL TSARION IS THE WORLDS PREMIER CONSPIRACY RESEARCHER/LECTURER/AUTHOR. DR. BILL DEAGLE, LEO ZAGAMI, JORDAN MAXWELL AND ALEXANDRE DUMAS PERE ARE HIGHLY INFORMATIVE AS WELL. P.S. MELTING EUPHORIA IS SIMILAR TO OZRIC TENTACLES AND GONG.

  • この時代から小林克也は活躍していたんだな。素晴らしい!

  • THE HOOKERS DO THIS SONG

  • steve harris had to admire to Gary Thain

  • Steve is copy of Pete Way from UFO. Check out UFO live videos from 70's. Playing techinc, way he walks, hair. Steve is Pete!

  • if i remember correctly, Byron had quite a drinking problem, that's why Heep eventually had to let him go

Shame, i really loved these guys

  • David Byron was a brilliant singer, and I always said he would have been huge as a metal band singer...........but damn.....what happened here??????? Man, he went from the penthouse to the outhouse........

  • He is totally wasted! But don't over look the drummer's greatness.

  • Yeah, he is out of it. No wonder his heart finally told him "go f..k yourself, David, I can't take it anymore..." I couldn't get enough of them when I was a kid. I still listen to them here and there....

  • byron is stoned..

  • the mix sucks, but the band is in the groove, a crappy recording, if you can hear that, well then you are really in no position to make comments on musical ability, i hear enough air whooshing past the mike to make it sound muddy and swirling, i'd say based on the crowd reaction they were not hearing this lousy mix.

    jimmy

  • I don't know why i keep reading negative comments about this...it's loud, fast and raucous...everything an energetic rock show should be sometimes.

  • болваны есть болваны. итс но хард, зис тс// короче. для тех, кто родился не в России, это вооще не понять

  • Not very good. It is hard to understand, what the singer is saying. More then likely, nothing worth hearing. I can not believe, I used like this band. What was wrong with me?

  • You were once normal..Now your an old fart with a wild hair up his rectum. That is what is wrong with you NOW!

  • One too many David !

  • Look at yourself!!!

  • I hear ya.

  • 3 minutes of my life i cant get back.. they should have been thrown in jail for that perfromance

  • Bryon sounds like shit just like every time I saw them live. I was also at the Philly concert when it hit the fan. Too bad because this was a great band with a great singer when he wanted to be.

  • trop bien j'ai le vinyl ... vos gueules les cons

  • having known the band, and done a suport for them in the late 60,s early 70,s + studio stuff, they were and still are a great band.

  • ...itt már nem tudott énekelni Byron...nagyon kár érte.

  • Ohh yeah! nem vagyok egyedül :)

    AWESOME BAND!

  • I'm a big Heep's fan and I love David Byron, but in this video he should be totally drunk or on drugs, as he can't hit a single note. Totally out of tune. He was not very professional on stage.

  • Byron legend

  • gary thain is agreat bass player god bless him

  • Ken Hensley sang lead in studio version.

And Byron death was caused by heavy drinking, wasn`t it?

  • Gary Thain was and is a great bass player!!!!

  • <33

  • This just goes to show you.. You can be wasted and off key but still implant mind changin vision into the minds of the same! They may our leaders today? Oh well..God Bless you Byron!

  • all the guys where good friendly people, and good to learn from.i heard about david,s death two days after he died from a good friend . i , was very uptset.

  • he looks like he's on acid, seriously, pupils are dialated as hell. I love this song, but not a good sound. Guitar is great though.

  • <33

  • Maybe Byron was tired. It could have been the last song of a two hour set.

  • Who cares if they sound great at this show? They were Uriah Heep and David was hot in red. Beats the crap out of rap.

  • I think the audio quality is bad and not so much Byron's voice that's the problem. Even the instruments sound bad.

  • I like Heep this is just not very good

  • I loved Uriah Heep...but this sounds like SHIT!!!!!!!!

  • I agree. It's a disgrace. Heep and Byron did much better. This is some like cheap Yankee Comedians doing a rehearsal.

I wish YouTube takes it away, for the sake of evrybody.

  • It doesn't matter to true fans. Its the feel. they know what its all about. Ah, playn in my favorite country Japan.

  • i never heard byron so off key....most unusual as i saw heep so many times and he was always on top form...here he is in terrible shape sad to say

  • Well i am a musician and i have played alot of shows..sometimes things just dont go well. Musicians arent gods like people seem to think. here is a thousand things that can cause somebody to have a bad show.

  • I'm sorry this is horrible.

  • This was back in the old days.

When we used to play MUSIC played

    and written buy MUSICIANS.

If you don´t understand the highlighted words

    just google them.

  • Trust me understand them I like UFO,Old Scorpions,Judas Priest,Doobie Brothers,The Doors,Beatles,Floyd,Neil Young,Old Areosmith,Black Sabbath,Allman Brothers,Cream

Clapton,James Gang, Jeff Beck, Roy Gallager,Dylan,Seger,Zep

    Humble Pie, Stones,The Who,Frampton,Rush,Steeley Dan,

Steppenwolf, Van Halen, Kinks, Eagles, BOC, Traffic, Wings

    ect..................This is still bad

  • Why do you like UFO,Old Scorpions,Judas Priest,Doobie Brothers,The Doors,Beatles,Floyd,Neil Young,Old Areosmith,Black Sabbath,Allman Brothers,Cream

Clapton,James Gang, Jeff Beck, Roy Gallager,Dylan,Seger,Zep

    Humble Pie, Stones,The Who,Frampton,Rush,Steeley Dan,

Steppenwolf, Van Halen, Kinks, Eagles, BOC, Traffic, Wings

    ect. and not Uriah Heep?

  • Why do all the old performances have such terrible sound quality on here? I want to hear some Heep.

  • Best line-up ever.

  • The original line up for the first 5 albums was the real UH

  • I saw them at least 5 times in the early '70s, once with a really wet behind the ears Blue Oyster Cult opening, and I never heard Byron off-key & I have perfect pitch. Of course I was quite altered each time. Too bad you young guys can't save real ticket stubs anymore, they make cool artifacts.

  • Newton was the first Bass player of Heep then came Gary Thain, so I will include him.

  • I saw them live twice: once on the Wonderworld tour (with Rush opening up) & on another tour in a much smaller hall with John Wetton on bass, who performed sitting on a stool because he'd broken his leg. By the second time Byron was totally out of control, messing up some great songs. What a shame.

  • Great song. Poor performance by Byron. I believe that Byron was an alcoholic and that's why he died young in 1983. At the top of his game he was one of the best and it's tragic for such a talent that it all came tumbling down because of this and also perhaps because the 'back to basics' of the punk era made them into old 'has beens' which is why a lot of progressive bands reached an early demise (IMHO).

  • the real Look at Yourself is about 7 minutes long, with the extended percussion with Osibisa

  • this was taken from best hits usa

  • I think the Jap girls got him all messed up, He's got his mind in another place, there everthing his mother told him

  • It's one of many great UH songs, and Byron is definitelly one of the best singers ever, but in concerts sometimes he sounds horrible. Sorry, but this is one of those concerts...

  • Sorry, WAS one of the best... Sounds like a sick joke. Unintentionally. RIP Dave.

  • Great fans, waving etc

  • One of the best group ever in the world...but with the classic line-up:Box/Byron/Hensley/Thain/Kerslake.

  • Got you all beat. I was in a bar in Virginia in the 90s and the whole band came in. I party with them all night and was invited to their concert the next night. I party so hard that I was unable to make it the concert the next night. But I will never forget the good times we had that night. Oh the bar they came to was a country bar not a rock n roll.

  • Uriah Heep foi, é e sempre será perfeito. Não há palavras para descrever... quem não conhece, sinto muito...

  • I have to say that the stage is hysterical. It looks like a primary school dance stage. Nevertheless, Heep were pretty metal.

  • I'm from Cleveland, but, I saw Heep in Las Vegas, back in 73. It was METAL, even back then.......

  • I saw Uriah Heep in Cleveland in 1972 with the opening acts of Earth, Wind and Fire and ZZ Top. It's funny how concerts were done over 30 years old ago. All of the shows were great.

  • good point, a lot of my friends aswell as me are sliding toward country. what the hell happened!?!

  • Country compared to the way the Heep could move you ! Are you kidding ?

  • the first turn on, other than the popular stuff, "teedy bear". if that don't move u, u r dead!

  • What happened was two things in the 1990s: Rap and Grunge. The old rock fans couldn't relate to rap, and with the advent of grunge (and other varieties of "alternative rock"), rock acts started taking themselves too seriously instead of realizing rock & roll is supposed to be fun. At the same time, country singers stopped whining and started being fun, and that attracted the old rock fans.

  • and john cougar? real music!

  • Great clip. Gary Thain was an awesome bassist and performer and Byron was also great. I saw this lineup at the Pittsburgh Civic Arena in Summer of 1974 when Heep headlined over Manfred Mann's Earth Band and Rush's first show with Neil Peart. They don'y have concerts like this anymore!

  • ru from the burgh!

  • Yeah i am and have probably seen any worthwhile concert at every venue in the city between 1969 till now. Unfortunantely, we don't get a lot of the big acts( McCartney, the Police, Heaven and Hell, the Who, etc); but we always get the exciting Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Alan Jackson, etc. I mean who could ask for more in this now country nationally considered market.

  • I was At that show thats how I became a hugh Rush Fan I saw them aFEW DAYS before Or After at the spectrum in philly,W/climax blues band Open instead of Rush,What a awaste when Gary thain Died,And guys loke Adam Clayton are known 4 being Great Players GMAFB,See ya

  • Sometimes I wonder why I wasn't born 15 years earlier! These 5 guys are my heroes, too bad two of them are not on this world anymore...

    RIP Gary and David.

  • Gary Thain played with his bass like Hendrix used to do with his guitar...all theses genius passed away, what a shame!!!!

  • Keep in mind that singing in that indoor arena was not easy back then, I bet he could hardly hear his own voice.

  • Uriah Heep is one oh the Best Bands in the World. Please listen "Simon The Billet Freak", is awesome, also "July Morning" , "The Wizard" and "the Magician Birthday". Simply the Best.

    Let's Keep Rolling. C ya.

    PS : Viva Mexico.

  • Never mind audio/video "quality". Look at that CHARISMA of one of the greatest front man in history, how he ENJOYS performing and LOVES the audience! He´s not drunk he´s just PERFORMING! And the audience LOVED him! Hey hey Byron mockers, you better LOOK AT YOURSELFes :D:D:D

  • I like this song, and the band sound good. Except for Byron. Off key and ridiculous. I enjoy this clip as comedy really. It's almost hard to believe.

  • David David....Look at yourself, what a waste of talent. I saw you many times in Detroit when you were sober and fantastic, now you're gone.

  • TAP TAP TAP!!!!

  • Thain was electrified during a show in Texas. He couldn't play anymore the same way of once, and the band fired him after sometime. RIP

  • Nice Clip, but Byron was really drunk or high, he sucks on this version. He was a great voice, buy his problem was Live, he used to show on stage in this conditions. That's why they fired him.

  • Yeah...he realy was. It realy is to bad that he was drinking so much...he was one of the best rock vocalists of all times :D .

It was a major lost for rock music when he died.

    RIP Dave.

  • Byron was the most underrated vocalist! His voice was fantastic! Rest in piece!

  • Exactly. RIP David, you gave us the most beautiful rock tunes, you were the greatest

  • While I'm a huge fan of Uriah Heep, this version isn't all that great at all, I was impressed with "Sunrise" and "Tears in My Eyes" that took place in the same show.

RIP David Byron and Gary Thain

  • How did those guys die? I seem to remember some sort of accident involving water and electricity for Thain?

  • In 1975 Gary Thain died of an overdose of heroin. David Byron died in 1985 of a liver condition due to his drinking. Check out uriah-heep dot com for a more complete history.

  • Truth is stranger, and funnier than fiction! This was th REAL SPINAL TAP. Byron, Lord Byron... a real pratt 'e woz, but thats wot made 'im so funny. The 'eep 'as never been the same wiffout 'im.

  • This an unfortunate case of Byron being very drunk and blowing a show. The rest of band sounds great. They must of been very mad at him.

  • Great to watch this here ! Under my playlist you will also find our privatmovies from Uriah Heep at Forssa, Finland.

    K.O.R.

    Monika, Helsinki

  • Love this song. This version is a bit disappointing, though. But thanx for posting

  • very very cool

  • Really, Really Enjoyed. LOOK AT YOURSELF and Easy Livin are my two FAVORITE songs of all time. We will meet again Brother Byron.

  • Byron was a great singer. His voice was unique. RIP.

  • RIP Byron

  • thanks for the great clip:D
