If you are looking for quality, original, hassle free, inexpensive, legal soundtrack music for your next Youtube video or short film....try "Rumblefish Friendly Music" Just follow the link in the "About Me" section on my page. Only $1.99 per track. (Some good songs...not just library music)
I could imagine the exact same video being shot with the exact same cast and pacing only asking people about their favourite junk-food. Maybe Big Macs are a kind of poetry too?
Wavy Gravy saying that Hearts and Minds (released in 1974) stopped the Vietnam War is so wacky when US involvement in Vietnam stopped in 1973. I don't get it.
Ha! I've been looking for this! I knew Youtube wouldn't let me down. The funny thing is-- I still have it, along w/ the complete coverage of the 2002 AA on VHS. I know, I'm old school.
What I rteally liked about the movie is that it stitches the individual messages of everyone together to create a feeling, a kind of aura about the topic of movies. The comment that remains with me is the man saying that movies are a kind of poetry. I don't know if all movies are poetic, but Errol Morris has certainly mastered poetry in this genre. I've just viewed his film, 'Fast, Cheap and Out of Control'; the pacing is practically in iambic pentameter.

Errol Morris is little more than an egotistical Jew. His "interviews" are more an experiment in mind control than anything else. If you think these comments are spontaneous, unscripted, genuine, and authentic, you've been duped. Morris sneakily "coaches" these participants like the worst kind of puppet master. As a result, it's impossible to take anything that comes from him with any degree of seriousness.....
and who may i ask, are you to cast such stones? I doubt Morris would claim that he is a fly on the wall. His interview with Robert McNamara unveiled an important voice in history that had never been filmed before! Is McNamara a puppet too? Of course he coaches people for good comments! Have you ever interviewed someone for a film?
Why Laura Bush? Casting for contrast rather than fashion. It threw me off for a moment to, but reminded me that she is also human, and if cinema can move her, then there is hope...

Errol Morris could take a piss on a theater screen and I'd probably still watch it.

The great thing about independent films, is that you get the director's cut the first time!

If all the world's a stage(or a film), I want better lighting.
--- Life imitates film.
---- Television: That amazing appliance which, if left unplugged, stimulates conversation.
--- Movies sell popcorn, but films offer hope.

We're all puppets. Just some puppets are bigger than others (ref julialandau in 2008).

There's something about the way Christy Turlington says "Julie Christie" that is just so delicious.

I like the way Errol Morris mind-controlled these people into saying movie titles.

Why include Laura Bush?

Because she's not George!! Although she did marry him.... Hmmm... I have to think about this!
Anyway, I loved this piece.... Anyone who didn't needs to join the Tin Man and search for a heart... :-)
