Best game of all time! The music throughout is fantastic - the closing theme is particularly moving. Parodius brings back poignant memories of my childhood, and it has coloured my imagination ever since; I can see its influence, for example, in my love of Far Eastern culture.

I particularly love the Ukiyoe Dame - the boss who appears at 7.00. The ultimate video game baddie!

i had make it with manual,but without roulette and only with a laser.and i have a tip for u:in the first level,u can go inside of the ring and can attack.that is my tip for the first boss.

and don´t forget next time:first disable the roulette,then u have more fun with the game!

lol, i always tried to beat that game on lvl 7 without using continues but i never made it through the bathroom-stage.

i actually beat it on lvl 7. even without losing a single life. but if you replay the game after beating it on lvl 7 you'll discover that there's a hidden 8th difficulty level where every enemy shoots one yellow ball before dying. plus there are more and faster shots.

Now if only sony wasnt idiots and id have all this series on psp but sony wont let online stores sell import psp games to europe :(. Also the newest ones of these uses 3d models and a touch screen dont seem as weird or funny either :( its arcade only at the moment.

I have a love for Gradius, this game's twisted humor and spoofing of Gradius makes me love it as well. Thanks Konami for making the Gradius, Salamander, Parodius, and Twinbee series, the fun never runs out in any of these 4 series.
