I liked to music with the pictures. The snow is very common in the mid west, reminds it's coming this year. The pictures were all excellent. The beauty that Heavenly Father created for us to see and enjoy. Thank you for sharing it with us. Have a great day.
The music along with the nature shots reminds me of how if we just let go of all the insignificant things in our life's. That you soon realize that life is what truly matters! life and how we use what little bit that we have available to us.
damn dude i give you much credit! me and some buddies tried camping in the Sierras here in california back when the first snows started falling we nearly froze and had to retreat to lower elevations lol
You should watch my 3 part video series on the 5 C's of survival...a new way of thinking about the basic survival needs broken down into some very simple concepts.
butteeeful. nice presentation! chapter in the book of life, no? Sweet experience! one question. did you pack all your food orr was there resorces? did you see much animal life? I watch manny vids and not verry manny top to look at the animal life..
I always thought that if I were to move from the Northwest, New Mexico might be a good place to go. This video just reinforces that idea. Looks like a great place for hiking.
ist what is tricky, when backpacking in those temperature you make sure you know the region or have EXCELLENT map or gps with spare battery...every year we lose tourist who die of frost lost on hiking trails...pretty sad
BRRRRZZZ... looks chilly! I remember that year in the gila was crazy. Late snow and lots of runoff. I did Trotter up to hummingbird saddle and down to Redstone Park that same year in May and there was still lots of snow! Did you guys stop by Jordan hot spring on your way out Middle fork? I of my all time fave spots! Nice work
Great pictures, and a really nice song choice too! So many people here listen to latino music, but in the wilderness areas like that, I just love some nice classical music. I live near the Jemez mountains now. I love NM.
I backpacked Whitewater to Hummingbird Saddle and then back down the east and south fork trails this spring 2008 with a friend for 4 nights 5 days and it was beautiful!! There is even water from springs at the top of the 9,000 and 10,000FT peaks and its all water filter friendly! I'm going back next spring in 2009 for more backpacking fun!
I agree with you, that looks like tons of fun. The last backpacking trip I went on was in sept. I am REALLY looking forward to the next one!!! Backpacking is one of the funnest things to do!
I really enjoyed your photo log. I have a place near the Gila Wilderness and am planning on building a vacation/retirement home there in the not too distant future to take advantage of its proximity to do much of the same as you've done.
We used to backpack in the Gilas in the 70's. Several times in the snow. Mostly Hummingbird Saddle and Whitewater Baldy and Redstone(?) Canyon. Could always catch a few trout at the canyon. Great place. Used to be some nice folks in Mogollon, that would invite us in when we came through. Thanks for sharing.
