itouch is WAY better then this the only thing this has over the itouch is a constant 3g connection, and that isnt even something in the droid... its a service! iphone wins over all, say if i was dying i couldnt make a phone call with a droid...... it would lag up, say program not responding, or crash, and the finally it locks up.

@rocksandboulders It all really depends on preference, and care of the product. I meticulously free up memory and application space and my phone is like a race car. I have never rooted, so I am at the standard speed. I am a HUGE Apple fan, nor am I a fanboy to either. Put both in perspective for their advantages and disadvantages.

i have used each one of my parents droids (quite frequently) which is three droids, because, my mother had 1 and my dad had two because it was defective....., also besides that i personally own an ally and i think it is a pos along with the droid..... i would easily say that anyone that likes the droid.... has NOT used a real smartphone *cough* iphone *cough*, i can not stand using them the web browser is terrible.... he must be lying or something, i have an itouch and usually never use my ally

The battery cover isn't loose on mine and maybe they fixed it because mine just came from the factory. If your battery cover is sliding then you can do what my friend did and put a piece of thick tape on the battery on the side that faces out. He taped a thin piece of packing foam in the battery on his other phone and it fixed his problem. You really have to push to get his battery cover off. Or you can get the protective outer cover.

I saw a video that shows a better quick fix for it. Mine is fine but the people with loose battery covers can use a small screwdriver and slightly (carefully) raise the silver metal plate that the battery cover tab locks into on the inside at the top. This will make the catch on the inner side of the battery hold tight.

I have been looking at both android phone's for verizon to see which best suits my needs. I'm still debating if I should wait for HTC to get android 2.0 or just purchase what's already out there. I'm young but I what a lot from my phone's software I use my phone for everything. I need school friendly software, entertainment software and web that's close to desktop laptop form also customizing more than motorola provides more so like HTC eris.

I really have not had an issue with the battery cover, in and out of my purse pocket but I do not open the battery as much as you might. Adding to what you said about the buttons, I would like to see the photo button wider also so I know I am pressing the thing, maybe rounded a bit to know that it is a shutter release. :)
