What is amazing with Monet is the effects o lights. We find similar effects in some other French artists such as Manet or Maurice Experton much later. Found some paintings from him on the web.

That's why I say 'Maurizio Pollini' and I'm sure : I owned the tape many years ago wich I loved a lot, but unfortunately I donated it... I'll try my best about the orchestra/conductor ... give me time!

Monet was a great painter, but it wasn't alone the founder of impressionism. D'ont forget : Turner, Constable, Courbet, Corot, Pissaro, etc...and maybe the first of movement (ou l'iniateur) with Turner Eugène louis Boudin.
