sorry, i mean i dont know how to use my aa radar mode, i can fire the missles but i dont know how to set them as my target, i dont have a box, lock on box
The missile is a R-77M so it shows up on the RWR. You can see the M symbol on the right MFD that I setup for the RWR. You need to be above 550 knots, put the missile at about your 10oclock then as soon as the M symbol touches the edge of your RWR inner circle break hard into it. that way the missile will miss and you'll still have the enemy plan in front of you.
ohh and and when the pilot says fox 3 medium for the people that don't know fox 3 is a medium and there is no need to state that its a medium because you called fox 3 its like calling fox 2 short,, now falcon has somewhat realistic avionics but thats all it has, the flight model and physics engine is crap, the only thing this game has is cockpit control with a decent avionics package for late 1990's vipers, its not as accurate as falcon players like to think
So, you're stating, that the whole world is stupid, and chose this as "crap" instead of some other simulator?
Let me just make it clear for you, and all the others:
Falcon 4.0 with all the decent updates and expansion packs, IS THE WORLDS MOST REALISTIC F-16 SIMULATOR, USED WORLDWIDE BY THE MILITARY TO TRAIN PILOTS WHEN THEIR NOT ALLOWED TO USE THE REAL THING.
SHUT UP ABOUT IT, IF SOMETHING ELSE WAS BETTER, YOU'RE NOT THE ONE THATS GONNA FIGURE IT OUT.
Seriously, this game really gets some points from me. I mean, i havent EVER played a game that has satisfied me this good when i killed somebody, refueled in the air(quite satisfying... cuz im not good at it ^-^")
bombed something, or just landed! NOTHING WILL EMULATE THE FEELING OF FREEDOM, BEING A PILOT, AS GOOD AS THIS!
BTW- Those people who buy this game, and doesnt play it with full realism rating... Tsk Tsk!
Its most fun on 100 realism rating anyway. Doesnt oversteer so badly.
1) Using Lockon as a frame of reference for realism is not a wise move.
2) Regarding the flight model, a fully fly-by-wire craft with pressure sensitive controls will not feel the same as a stick and rudder craft with displacement sensitive controls.
3) The "Fox 3" argument, though logically correct, is a petty one. There are "Fox 3 Long" and "Fox 3 Close" calls as well. Stating "Medium" would serve to reduce or eliminate ambiguity in the tacitcal picture.
What modern combat aircraft does not use fly by wire controls and also for a negative static margin aircraft it flies like a beachcraft and course the fox is a dumb argument but for a game that you falcon players claim to be the most advanced flight sim ever produced there are too many little things like that just scream half ass sim its a great tool for learning the ins and outs of electronic avionic control and there air to ground engine is haggard yes falcon has good avionics but flys shty
The original Mig-29, as well as the F-14 are as far as i know not Flown Fly By wire. Integraton of FBW came with the Mig-29 M and SMT variants. However there is a difference in how you operate the controls of a FBW (Fly by wire)and a non FBW aircraft, in a Non FBW aircraft you stear the control movement directly by the stick, so if you pull the stick full bakc you pull the controls, like the ailerons fully back. In a FBW aircraft however, it is a bit diffrently.
If you pull the stick full back in an FBW aircraf, you tell the computer "i want the maximum aileron movement that is available at this given time!" So the Compter computes the maxium aileron movement possible within controlled flight and moves the ailerons. So you don´t control the real control movement but the computer and unless you don´t hit the override switch, you never pull more than that is allowed in controlled flight.
And thats because a FBW aircraft doesn´t stall gradually, but after a while enters a deep stall. Because the maximum control movement is continuosly computed and then limited to fit the flight parametres, thusly exceeding the controlled flight limits is very hard and rare.
Nice Bro. I fucking hate the 21-93 Fishbeds engaging me with these at like 15 Miles, never get the chance to evade.
Like an airborne SA-10, lol!

@Equilibrium9415 doubt he'd actually evade it IRL.

which cockpit is that ?

How often does this technique work for you? I have trouble doing it consistently tbh,
cas343 2 years ago
As do i, those fucking missiles are sooo manueverable
Appclypse 2 years ago
good but it has its faults, one should use the missile padlock to see the missile and no commentary, good though if you look at it closely.

what is this game ?
gokill96 2 years ago
Hey, will this technique work for any other missiles? or just the R-77M?

Well done!

That's my favorite way. With air-to-air load only, this works almost always

hey i got a question, why doesnt i have the box around my target? do i have to set radar too?how? thanks

Sorry didn't fully understand you could you please repeat the question in more details.
Cheers

What's your joystick make?
Ghaithf 3 years ago
@ntabonkerleo You need to acquire a radar lock in order for the HUD to show a square around your target.

how did you evade the missle, I mean, you weren't even looking at it ...
So when do you know, you have to turn?

Nice move, because those are hard to evade!
Does it work all the time?

Almost every time, but you have to be above 550konts.

K, I'll try to keep that in minde :)

totally aggreed

apperently you have never flown it :)
And if that is the only problem that you can find with the "fox 3 medium", than this game is one of the best.
It is one of the most realistic simulators ;)

very nicely done. I can't believe I didnt think of putting the tws in an mfd. So much easier.
