All drivers education classes in highschool should show this video,in florida we had one from the 1980s that showed a graphic scean of a dead mans brains hanging out after an accident and it was real!( accident sceane was from the early 60s ),Films like this will impact students and mor likley make them more conciencous drivers.

this is an excellent commercial. When I lived in England they ran these types of graphic commercials all the time and they r very effective. People may not want to see this on tv in the US but it is needed. It's the wake up call needed for our country. Being a Firefighter/EMT i see this more and more. It was very unnerving.

@mr1nutwonder: The metrolink accident was caused by more than just texting. Yes he was texting and it was wrong, he shouldn't have done that. However, Metrolink is also to blame, it was a 1 man crew and it never should be that way. They've sinced banned texting while operating a train, and are thinking of banning cell phones all together on trains. Train crews are gone for days at a time, that's not fair to them or their families. Believe me I know, my husband works for UP.

That's interesting. I use to drive truck (semi) for a company back in 1999 before texting really took off, but they had on board satellite communication with a key board. They would bug me while I was driving because I was behind schedule for a delivery. They didn't want me to pull over to answer them, but they wanted an anwswer. Using that thing was much harder to do while driving than texting, and a lot more dangerous! I'm glad I had a passenger to answer for me while I drove.

This kind of thing just happened to me 2 weeks ago. Some god damn 90 year old woman was texting and almost caused a 4 car pile up ahead of me. The third car "in line" lost control and hit the guard rail trying to avoid her. I was behind him and almost hit her head on because the dumb bitch didn't think to stop texting and get back in her damn lane. I literally saw my life flash before my eyes, then i realized what was happening and swerved, just barely missing her. She never even stopped.

@BrickFilmsCinema : why don't you read about the metrolink train wreck in los angeles.) I spent 3 month in the hospital from a 17 year old girl who blew a red light while texting. my back, and right leg are still messed up, but thats not as bad as the plate they put in my head, and all the dental work. how I wish mine was only fake, she, did'nt get off so easy, broke her back and neck, she lived for week in a coma, then died. to this day, I can't believe I lived through it.

You suppose to have blankets and firework torches on the street. I've been in wreck with a friend, he was driving, and not paying attention by fiddling with the tape deck. Crashed into car in front of us, and that gave me cracked ribs for a six months. Insurance didn't cover medical. : P Control the machine people!!

That's interesting. I use to drive truck (semi) for a company back in 1999 before texting really took off, but they had on board satellite communication with a key board. They would bug me while I was driving because I was behind schedule for a delivery. They didn't want me to pull over to answer them, but they wanted an anwswer. Using that thing was much harder to do while driving than texting, and a lot more dangerous! I'm glad I had a passenger to answer for me while I drove.

You should Never take your eyes off the road- Not even for a second, Pull over & stop if you have to text or make a call. When My cell phone rings I just let it ring. Anyone here who said that you can safely text while driving- you are idiots and Shouldn't have a license

oh my god....i agree with lawdog2008. I have been in an accident and im only 14. it was a very scary experience, thank God that only three people were in the car and the worst wound was stitches.

@trissylovesdinos Sorry, The driver of the texting car was the only on that survived and the little girl. The passengers died and the parents of the little girl died also, yeah its fucked up but watch the similar video called sumthing like the dangers of drinking an driving, it should start out with some kids playing soccer or a bar, i find the drinking one way more heartbreaking.

I see people texing all the time, mainly young girls, nearly got knocked off my bike last week by a young girl who didnt look as she pulled out on me, when i pulled along the side of her and looked in, she didnt even see me then, too busy texing!! makes me so mad some times, should have the car removed from them on the spot!

This kind of thing just happened to me 2 weeks ago. Some god damn 90 year old woman was texting and almost caused a 4 car pile up ahead of me. The third car "in line" lost control and hit the guard rail trying to avoid her. I was behind him and almost hit her head on because the dumb bitch didn't think to stop texting and get back in her damn lane. I literally saw my life flash before my eyes, then i realized what was happening and swerved, just barely missing her. She never even stopped.
