  • NO flux needed for the solder connection?

  • Hey, it's looking good! Do you have the motor back in? I have been looking at those crimps on ebay, they are WAY cheaper than buying the plier type ($300 or so). I know people sometimes put them in a vice rather than hammer it (I wonder if that works well? I'm still waiting on my adapter plate, so not much is happening right now.

  • for $10 i dare you to beat it...my first set of cables i did the smash method. i lost 2 battery terminals due to loose terminal. i was useing 1 guage stranded cable. now i have 1/0 welding cable. the 1st set was real springy. yes the motor is back in the truck, but i am taking it back out. i am haveing the commutator smoothed out. the broken spring touched the commutator and made a small hump so the brushes chatter right now. we did a test drive after the new brushes were installed

  • Good idea for the battery box, nobody will even know it's electric (well maybe) unless you tell 'em...

  • Sounds like ya might have a cold brother...

  • just geting over a cold. but your right the batteries did vanish in the box
