I believe in constitutionalism, and so I am perfectly fine with any monarch that respects the rights and liberties of the people... whether they do so democratically is trivial to me. Democracy or Despotism, they all become the same when the inherit natural liberties that all people are born with are disrespected.
Also, interestingly enough, the Japanese were the ones that attempted to restore the Manchu dynasty king Puyi and the Japanese Empire went to war after the Emperor had his power cut by the military. The weakening of the Spanish throne eventually paved the way for the Spanish Civil War. The United States is literally the only country to successfully navigate their way from rule under a monarchy to a democracy without any tyranny at all.
I don't believe monarchy will ever die, quite franky in the end all that we are left with is either monarchy/tyranny or aristocracy/oligarchy, democracy is unnatural because it wants everybody to practice two professions, 1. the profession or natural career that a person actually wants to pursue and 2. the profession that the state "imposes", on a person, politician/elector. Some sort of democracy can be achieved but i believe that this is possible on the more local level
look at the French today... they have political parties that are divided by the very identity of what "French" really stands for. the french republic started not with the overthrow of King Louis XVI but with the abolition of monarchy after Napoleon III.
After that... look at France... today.... sad. They have no one to cling on to when they want to defend the French identity...
@SuperTravis898 No, democracy=socialism socialism=a world in debt to future generations. Capitalism is keeping your own money, people don't vote for that, they vote for socialism which is helping themselves to their neighbor's money. The problem, as Baroness Thatcher said, is that eventually you run out of "other peoples" money.
I got a chill that ran thru my body when I watched what my felloow "human"" did to each other. Ppl dont realise even tho having monarchy isnt always the best, the alternative is worse bcoz at least the monarchs have allegiance to their subjects and nation whereas international bankers have allgeince only for their little club who have no borders etc
Excellent video! Monarchy can be difficult and complex, but I do believe if done right, it is the best form of government. Dont get me wrong, I love living in the US because of its freedom and democracy, but the one thing that a president wont have over a monarch is that a president will only be loved by half his population, the half that voted him in. A monarch unites their country in tradition. Also, dont misinterpret my account name, its my trach nickname, I would love to bring a king to cuba
My Compliments for this EXCELLENT vid! Very strong and poewerfull, and it might be a sign that Monarchies will be restored preventing The Word decligning in further More epic Chaos! Royal greetzz from the Kingdom of The Netherlands( we started as an Republic in the 16th century but became a constitutional Monarchy in 1813)
Excellent video. It is true that monarchy is the answer for the majority of the world. And when that balance is disrupted, chaos and oppression can result. Who knows, if the people want it in America, it may come here too. But whom would we select?
Very interesting video. The loss of the monarchy let people who manipulated public opinion and do terrible things. I am from a republic, but I recognize that monarchies, especially the constitutional monarchies like the UK, are far more stable than many republics. Most republics, especially those outside of the western world end up with a tyrant in charge because he consolidates power and there is little that the legislature can do to stop him.
A very powerful video, kind of hard to argue against the basic fact it shows, which is the destruction of a royal family/monarchy does not lead to a better way of life for the majority of a people. Law and order under a monarchy must be better than mass murder, torture, starvation, fear, etc.
This video should be required viewing in all classrooms. Then and only then could people finally see the rational arguments against "democracy" and that Monarchy in fact PROTECTS liberty, not decreases it.
Monarchs are born into power, Politicians *seek* power. The latter is infinitely worse for reasons that should be obvious to all.
I like that there is somebody who ooffers another view at the history - I agree that not every victory in the past was glorious. And you also did not mention in the video the last Emperor of Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, King of Bohemia, Hungary, Croatia and other Central-European nations. It also led to huge instability (Nazi, Communist regimes etc.). Vít, Prague (Kingdom of Bohemia)
very good work. Im not an expert in this issue that´s why I have questions about the role of monarquies today. specially UK´s one. You gave me good information to ask new questions...tnx!!
@prisonerno3 When the British monarchy was overthrown it led to the military dictator Oliver Cromwell, state Puritanism, the abolition of Christmas etc and the massacres in Ireland, overall such a brutal and dreary regime that when he died the people were overjoyed to have King Charles II back.
Strangely enough, it seems the US is the only nation who has not committed mass murder as a result of their Republicanism.. and that’s actually questionable.
Albert Camus once said all revolutions end as ironies. He couldn't have been more right when he said that. For all that the French Revolution did to increase the knowledge of human rights, it ended up little more than an irony around Robespierre's time and then a farce when Bonaparte rose to the occassion. The American Revolution ended up being hypocritical when slaves were still oppressed, though they were human beings all the same. Cromwell's revolution ended up ironic too.
Nice, Video, Sad though, Adolf Was a big Friend of the Last Kaiser. there are Letters between and Hitler and the Last Kaiser about Congratulating Him for Using his Forces to Win in France and Poland.
the good thing about having a monarch ruling a country is, the people won't have to face and go through all the cycles of election, the campaigns, the battles between the candidates, with each of them would try to shove in their own interests into yours.
To kill the monarch of a country is to kill the country itself. It might sound a bit extreme, but I can't put it on any other way. Let's take for example the French... or even better, the Portuguese king, Dom Carlos I. He and the heir of the throne were brutally assassinated in Lisbon, and two years after that, the monarchy fell, and the country fell deeper than it was in the monarchy. We also had to endure over 60 years of dictatorship. And even now, Portugal is but a shadow of its former self.
I can explain to you what happened with Russia. Believe it or not, Russians wanted to create a system of liberty as we have--I should say use to--in the US. Because of the dangers posed by the Marxist radicals they called for help to Wilson, guess what? That progressive bastard Wilson denied them help. As for these other nations which have destroyed their monarchies listed, you'll also notice most of their revolutions led directly to socialism.
@LordoftheKaty I will put it delicatley you have no idea what you are talking about. Your statment is pure fiction. The idea of having a republic was extremley popular. The Russian revolution was beween the Monarchist White army and communist red army. Woodrow wilson didn't support the white army to restore the monarchy since like you he couldn't deal with any one having a diffrent goverment than his. Please don't comment on subjects you know nothing of.
@ImperialRussianGuard Your opinion, however, the American constitutional republic has served as a better result than monarchies, and I'm talking about before our government turned fascist and imperialistic. America has been the most prosperous and wealthy nation on Earth, while contributing to the world some of the greatest innovations and knowledge. Government really has nothing to do with this, capitalism has everything to do with it.
@LordoftheKaty I have not stated a single opnion in my reply. Yours however is nothing but opnion. Perhaps you can offer an argument why you think the republic was more succesful than any monarchy that ever lived. You in a sense deafeat your self when you say that the goverment has become "fascist". On of the problems of a republic that it gives an oppurtuinity for evil men to gain power. Hitlers rise to power is a perfect example of this.
@joaolimabahia No, Bao Dai was 'Chief of State' (Quoc Truong) when Diem pushed him out. He had earlier been forced to abdicate as Emperor of Vietnam by the communist dictator Ho Chi Minh during the August Revolution of 1945.
It's interesting that the really the only instance in history where the fall of a monarchy didn't result in a dictatorship was with the USA.
The USA doesn't really count, though, because the link between American colonies and the British monarchy was indirect, unlike the other instances which would have been more like the English overthrowing King George.
To be honest, I don't know how to feel about your Vid, you bring up good evidence which is very true... but your video also makes it seem that the world was perfect, that the chaos happened after the over throw of a monarch, as though the king is some innocent person (Though some of them were) but my point is Kings have started wars, they've oppressed people as well (But not all of them).
@DravenWolfe I want to follow this up before anyone comments on my comment... I do beleive that Russia would be better off with the monarchy and would most likely be a constitutional monarchy today... if it weren't for that bastard Lenin.
@DravenWolfe WWI wouldn't happen if britain didnt overreact. Germany and France had those little wars all the time, just like you pop someone on the mouth, if the brits weren't there, or the germans broke trough. WWI ended before autumn and wasnt even known as WWI.
@tsarautocrat I"m not justifiying his murder or the murder of his family... It was a horrible atrocity that shows the cruelty of Communism and Socialsim.... Perhaps you didn't read my second post where I say russia would have been better off with the monarchy.
@tsarautocrat Lenin is a monster who is burning in the bowels of hell, he's most likely the devil's bitch right now, gett'n it in the ass every night.... The Tsar will be avenged with the complete fall of Communism/Socialism.
Good look of the end of the Monarchys... it deserve a second half!
Also, I put my poor opinion in your video about the emperor Pedro I of Brazil. Do you know portuguese? And please, talk about the portuguese kings. :-)
I have done a video on the Portuguese monarchs and I've talked about a number of Portuguese kings and queens on my blog. I don't speak the language, but I do have a cousin who is Portuguese and I love the country and its history.
Very nice work, congratulations. In Portugal it was the same, the king and the prince were killed, and since then our country, which was in the past one of the most powerfull and influent in the world, only faced instability and suffered from the longest dictatorship in Europe in the XX century. The same was in Brazil, the empire ended and instability and a dictatorship came. Monarchist regards from the (sadly) Republic of Portugal.
You could've used Portugal aswell. It is an excellent example in what concerns Monarchist Democracy vs Republic's. We had a true democratic system since 1822 (with an interruption in the 30s) that was overthrown to do 16 years (1910-1926) of total anarchy (you will laugh as hell by reading sutff about the 1st Republic) the Dictatorship of the 2nd Republic (1926-1974) And a Rotten Democracy... a TOTAL fail that is slowly destroying us.
Indeed! I'm brazilian too and I'm aware of the damage the "Republic" caused to my country.
The Republic was a scream for the freedom...freedom for the politicians to spoil the nation, freedom for violence and corruption to rise across the nation, freedom for the people to lose their identity and hate their own country.
I always wonder why can't the people stop and think for 5 minutes about what really happened after the overthrown of certain monarchies before standing up for it???
That was the worst thing happened to iraq ...we still crying on you king faisal II ...I wish that one day we will bring back our monarchy ...we nedd them right now!
Indeed there is a difference between the American Revolution and the Revolutions of Europe. America was not trying to overthrow the king or kill him. They sought independance, not overthrow.
No, the American Revolution was more correctly the American War for Independence, a war of secession though that did mean the overthrow of the King as sovreign of the 13 colonies. The intent was to show that this was the exception rather than the rule.
Monarchy is the most noble political institution ever developed by mankind. It is our inherited duty to restore monarchies where ever possible and the result will be a better world.
You mean never again. It did happen during the years of the Cromwellian nightmare, thank God the British have always been good about learning from errors and correcting them.
This is a simple, but breathtaking video...Truly startling in its forthright simplicity and facts that CANNOT be disputed by the supporters of a republic, or the Marxist Obama dictatorship holding Our nation hostage.
I found something rather interesting while researching health care because I'm sick of Americans lying about the NHS.
17 of the nations top 30 nations with the longest life expectancy are constitutional monarchies, and 15 of the nations with the lowest infant morality are constitutional monarchies.*
If you compare the Parliamentary system (figurehead president) to the Presidential one (active one) it's even worse for American style governments with only France and South Korea on either list.
Monarchy gets way too much crap. All over the so-called education in the US, we are taught to dislike kings. That democracy is perfect and without flaws. That a republic is best.
What has being a republic done for Serbia, Mexico, Iran, Iraq, Brazil, Afghanistan?
The US foreign policy is all about making sure all nations have democracy, is that really best for EVERYONE? What is wrong with Afghanistan having a king again? How about Serbia? I dont buy the republic rhetoric anymore...
Thanks. Cut through all the BS and "circumstances" and the basic facts are damning. Monarchy is not just about what powers the monarch has but what power they deny to others and what those people do when they have total control of a country.
I believe in constitutionalism, and so I am perfectly fine with any monarch that respects the rights and liberties of the people... whether they do so democratically is trivial to me. I always wonder why can't the people stop and think for 5 minutes about what really happened after the overthrown of certain monarchies before standing up for it???

Great! Congratulations!
The end of Monarchy in my country, Brazil, opened the way to corruption, violence, dictatorship, and this "new" republic of thieves.

Indeed there is a difference between the American Revolution and the Revolutions of Europe. America was not trying to overthrow the king or kill him. They sought independance, not overthrow.
IchBinDieKaiser 2 years ago 3
No, the American Revolution was more correctly the American War for Independence, a war of secession though that did mean the overthrow of the King as sovreign of the 13 colonies. The intent was to show that this was the exception rather than the rule.

@MadMonarchist Sessions appear to bring forth better results than the complete overthrow of a king.

I'm glad that someone understands the difference.

Monarchy is the most noble political institution ever developed by mankind. It is our inherited duty to restore monarchies where ever possible and the result will be a better world.

God save the Monarchy of Great Britain and lets hope this never scars our Homeland.

You mean never again. It did happen during the years of the Cromwellian nightmare, thank God the British have always been good about learning from errors and correcting them.
MadMonarchist 2 years ago
yes that is true lets never hope that Cromwells atrocitys well never be re-enacted upon our fair Islands.

Fantastic video, thank you for making it!

This is a simple, but breathtaking video...Truly startling in its forthright simplicity and facts that CANNOT be disputed by the supporters of a republic, or the Marxist Obama dictatorship holding Our nation hostage.
God bless YOU for making it.

I found something rather interesting while researching health care because I'm sick of Americans lying about the NHS.
17 of the nations top 30 nations with the longest life expectancy are constitutional monarchies, and 15 of the nations with the lowest infant morality are constitutional monarchies.*
If you compare the Parliamentary system (figurehead president) to the Presidential one (active one) it's even worse for American style governments with only France and South Korea on either list.
lamnaa 2 years ago 5
*Compared to the rest of the world, where only about 20% of nations are constitutional monarchies.
lamnaa 2 years ago 3
YES!

Agree and especially when in USA, you have Kennedy and Bush dynasties.

Thanks. Cut through all the BS and "circumstances" and the basic facts are damning. Monarchy is not just about what powers the monarch has but what power they deny to others and what those people do when they have total control of a country.
