  • Music to my ears hearing those cars go around that curve!!!!! I can't wait till they have fan trips this summer to the Rockaways or to Coney Island. Hey Will they ever take out the train of many colors again ?

  • @Wehategod I have no idea if they will take out the TOMC....they haven't been out since like 2009!

  • If you want to see it from inside the train, get on a downtown 6, and look out the window after the train leaves Brooklyn Bridge. It'll turn around on the City Hall loop and come back into Brooklyn Bridge station as an uptown 6. Then make your escape.

  • That's the easy way out!

  • hmm the R142A looks out of place

  • How do you figure that?

  • the Sharpest Curve i do believe on the IRT.

  • Yes it is!

  • i love to video down there some time is it open to everyone like to take pic's or is it open when the Transit museum doing something ?????

  • Open for Transit Museum members only!

  • ahh man I wanted to see it!

  • what happens when trains leave their last stop?

  • Hmmmm it goes from Downtown to Uptown via the loop!

  • well they go back

  • WoW this station is like south ferry station but this station is dark. They should bring this station back.

  • LOL....that's not going to happen!

  • Yeah I know that sucks

  • It is!

  • Yeah it is wonderful to look @

  • I don't know....we'll see in 2 more years!

  • Oh ok!

  • Yes I have!

  • Cool!

  • I do and I love it more!

  • Cool!

  • Yes it is and I love it!

  • The trains in the olden days had doors on the extreme ends of the cars instead of the middle so the gaps were not that big. If things got too extreme they used gap fillers on the platforms.

  • Ok thank you for explaining it more in detail!

  • I love the propulsion sound once the train got going.

  • Me 2....that's why the R-142A is my favorite subway car!

  • I think back then they probably used similar trains like the R-1/9 subway cars on the IRT Line or they used a bridge like platform!

  • enjoyed it - thanks

  • Thank you for enjoying my video and your welcome!

  • nice job! not every day you get to go inside there

  • Thank you! I know....I really enjoyed myself that day!

  • why did the train stop for.

  • A Transit worker was talking to the T/O!

  • this station is open to the public?

and its kinda funny bc a R142 looks so out o place in a station like that

  • stop for the fans how smart was that lol

  • LOL...you silly!
