  • "Goodbye"? was the computer called irony?

  • Comment removed

  • 0:02- I love how Batman's trying to eject on the Batpod, and there's a guy sitting there watching with a sub sandwich in his hand.

  • 3 people got hit by The Goddamn Batman.

  • Slaughter is the best medicine

  • The best, most perfect, ingenius car chase ever. The rolling wheels, the kids blowing up cars with their finger, the wall, the charge, joker's words and expressions throughtout, This is true movie play, and may everery person involved in this movei get their props. Almost beat Iron Man in dough, dusted it in a story and emotion...

  • This is one of my favourite scenes in this film. When I first saw it I thought Batman was out since the tumbler was destroyed, then he surprised me with another vehicle inside the tumbler this scene is second to none. The Bat pod is an awesome design with massive large tyres and an aerodynamic seating position. I’ve got to get me one of those.

  • Batman would kick ass on the grid in tron.

  • 3:09 love how the car gets riddled with bullets but no holes

  • 0:42 - 0:45 - Man looking to his tooth and accidentally Batman destroys the side mirror

    1:23 - That's not good

    1:28 - OK! THAT'S NOT GOOD!

    1:39 - 1:40 Joker's laugh

    2:33 - 2:35 Joker "He miss!"

    2:44 - 2:46 Batpod doing something to (I don't know)

    3:32 - 3:34 Batman is drunk?

  • @kenny2z I know! Haha man I can't wait to see moments like this in The Dark Knight Rises.

  • RIP batmobile.

  • @CaptainPositron Don't be too worried... It'll be back for Dark Knight Rises!

  • just an average day at the mall and then u see batman driving through the building

  • To this day I still can't figure out how the batpod can go up the wall at 2:40 the guns extend past the wheel.

  • Comment removed

  • @8comicbookman8 The guns rotate up the before the front tire hits the wall.

What I've always wondered is how the batpod *fits* in there. It looks like its using both of the tumbler's front tires between 0:17 and 0:18

  • @timosantos From what I can see it does use the front tires, as to how the body of it fits in is another story. The DVD special features show some pre-vis of it though. (watch?v=00LUKXvqsIE)

  • @8comicbookman8

at 2:42 the gun flips up

    badass

  • @8comicbookman8 If you watch it frame-by-frame, the guns rotate 45 degrees toward the driver (Batman) and then after he touches back down, rotates back to their original position.

  • 3:33 Why not just put him in a body cast for 6 months? Imagine what you could do with 6 months of clean streets. Or make him a quadriplegic permanently. You wouldn't have to break your rule...

  • i love the ''goodbye''

  • he´s the fucking batman!!!

  • Think this is an awesome movie but batmans a bit of a jerk in it. Heath Ledger totally makes up for it though

  • talk about HD how did u pull this off without Warners Bro. Copyrighting ur ass

  • @TheVicman1997 man i was wondering the same thing. The quality on this is BadAss

  • @ 2:41 DO A BARREL ROLL!

  • nice quality, what did you use to record?

  • American Chopper should make this bike O_O

  • At 2:15, that's Wayne Tower from Batman Begins. No more monorail above the street.

  • @Flash007b didn't it get destroyed in batman begins?

  • @beyond211 yeah, thats kinda what i meant. :) Funny how stuff always seems to be happening on that street in front of his building.

  • 3 Joker's henchmen voted down the video.

  • how does the batman know where to find the joker? the batpod doesnt even have gps.

  • @amey1000 he knows because he's the BATMAN!

  • GoodBye!

  • 2:41 is the most badass thing you can do on a motorbike !! hardcore!!!

  • 3:23 - 3:28 ... I stood in that exact spot yesterday while visiting Chicago! haha.. (geeking out)

  • Comment removed

  • best part 2:42 - 2:44

  • 0:16 Ciao !

  • The Joker: HIT ME!!

Batman: AAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!! oh fk, my cape--oh, no its not my cape--

(he hit himself w/ the wall)

The Joker: mothah fukah...that's wat u get for flipping my slaughter trock

  • 3 people could not initiate the eject sequence...

  • @kvg2895 That's what SHE said. Ahehehe... I have no friends.

  • ME GUSTA....

  • can someone explain what was this ? 2:10

  • @Fishu23 no fucking clue, and no one else can tell me why and how that fucking front tire does that and is somehow still completely functional. The only answer i suspect anyone to give is "HES THE FUCKING BATMAN THATS WHY"

  • @Fishu23 I think he turned it to the side, and it spun for some reason, maybe to help slow him down and turn him to the side, but since he was stopping it might not be as bad as if it had happened if he'd kept going... well, that's my loos, implausible explanation for it anyway. I'm not a physics expert, so that's the best I can do. :D

  • Who would dislike this

  • n who's the third ras al ghul's soul xD

  • i remember being at the movies during this scene where batman ejected himself from the tumbler..the place went from quiet to 'going craaaazy whistling & clapping' haha good times

  • @kenny2z Really? At my theater, there were a lot of boos when the Batpod ejected, me included; I loved the Tumbler and getting rid of it for the Batpod... well I always preferred the Tumbler over the Batpod. Good movie, though.

  • @kenny2z the same thing happened when I saw it!

  • lol goodbye

  • Only batman (and Chuck Noris) can do that without getting his cape stuck in the rear wheel !

  • Comment removed

  • When two face saw this he gave it a thumbs up and then a thumbs down.

  • I own Batman's Tumbler now.............

  • One of the few times in my life where people cheered in the theatre. Amazing scene.

  • How much do you think one is too own?? 10,000??

  • 2:42 - 2:43 cgi batman and bat pod, cut to live action. 3:28 - 3:30 cgi batman and pod. All the way through...some possible set extensions and miniatures. There was a lot of VFX in this film, hidden by blending it with live action shots.

  • Comment removed

  • I remember everyone in the midnight screening went crazy during the ejection part.

  • Batpod, soon to be the Catpod. Catwoman riding it has the potential to be super-cool.

  • I never understand the Batpod lights revolving at 02:10 whats happening?

  • @gardenofarcane

looks like he driving it on the front suspension after crashing through the barricade it's weird never thought about til I read your post

  • @gardenofarcane The wheels are turning end over end. It's a feature called bad-ass-ness...

  • @gardenofarcane the wheels are actually turning sideways. it stabilizes the batpod when its moving to the side.

  • @snatchX626 But Lights moving how? how come they dont get under the wheels?

  • @gardenofarcane probably cgi

  • best bike scene in all movies

  • - Whose motorcycle is this?

    - It's a Bat Pod, baby.

    - Whose Bat Pod is this?

    - Its 's Batman's

    - Who's Batman ?

    - Batman's dead, baby. Batman's dead.

  • @TheChrisNong Just saw Pulp Fiction for the first time 2 days ago. I feel cool now that I caught that.

  • @TheChrisNong i can imagine the joker riding off with harley quinn!!

  • 2:58 that accident shot was sooooooo badass.

  • Where does he get those wonderfull toys!!!

  • Man I LOVE this film. The way Christian and Jonathan Nolan wrote the Script for the joker. They really made him look like the mastermind of all Villains. Joker was always 2 steps a head with his plans in this movie, and also he just lives to be a villain and bring terror to gotham city and not do it for the money..... and with that added the genius acting of Heath Ledger made this movie one of the greatest of all times. Probably the Best Batman Film ever made (to date at least)

  • now theres a batman!!

  • "Note to self kill guy who said he missed." - Joker

  • Rest in Peace Tumbler, you were the greatest action vehicle ever devised by man...

  • @RSprtn117 don't worry, it will come back in 2012

  • a scene we will never forget

  • The theatre I saw this in went nut after this scene. My mind was blown... Almost choked on my skittle.

  • It's sequences like this that made this film absolutely genius. This film deserved an Oscar for editing, or some technical aspects. I personally think C. Nolan was robbed of a Best Director Nomination.

  • 1:47 HEY you can't ride that thing in here.

  • Already a classic one. And it's great! :-)

  • Expand the coolness/greatness of this one sequence to feature-length, and you'd have the greatness that is _Inception_.

  • Batpod = Batmissile 2.0

Nothing we haven't seen before. :P

  • even batman knows he felt badass as fuck ridin that batpod

  • here we go !

  • When I saw the posters/trailers for the movie with Batman on a motorbike, I thought it looked cheesy & that the movie would overdo the gadgets & stuff.

But the way the Batpod is introduced to us like that, bursting out of the crippled Batmobile was sheer class. It was a brilliant idea to derive the Batpod as part of the Batmobile, making what was already a really cool vehicle from the first movie even cooler in the second.

Whoever thought of that, take a bow

  • harvey must be thinking what on earth is going on outside man

  • Nolan is now equal valued director with names like Scorsese, Kubrick or Spielberg.

  • GOODBYE!

  • the ultimate shitpod

  • who said he missed?

and the only CG used was to remove the piston that flipped it...

    impressive!

  • RIP Tumbler 2005-2008

  • @loslakers530 RIP indeed you gave us probably the most amazing scene in movie history

  • batman has like so many years of bad luck now

  • many people in the movie theater says when the bat pod appeared: "what the fuccccccccckkkkkkk"

  • Wow, nice video quality!

  • lol 2:33 he missed lol

  • htf did they get the right front wheel to fold back and become the back wheel of the bike, who ever created this this bike is f@@king genius.

  • 2:09-2:11. Front tire =Epic

  • 0:17 "goodbye" :P

  • I just realized that the right front tire of the tumbler actually folds back to form the back tire of the bat pod. I've watched that scene dozens of times, and I just now noticed that.

  • The Batmissle!!!

  • batpod flip was freaking crazy

  • DONT BAT ITS A TRAP! Joker: LOL :)

  • The only problem I have is the guns on the front. They wobble too much. Making it look like a plastic piece of shit. Other then that great production!

  • I guess the joker and the guy in the truck were the only 2 who hated seeing themselves getting owned by the Batman in this video.

  • @LibraAirman1825

Exactly. You could only not like this clip if you were a super-villain.

  • Ugh, that cop next to Gordon is such a bad actor... (and bad dialogue)

  • Comment removed

  • I love it at 2:09 when the Batpod smashes out of the shopfront side on. I tried doing that one day on my piece of crap 15 yr old dirt bike and wound up on the pavement as bat-shit!!!!!!!

  • 2:36 wait I love this part...nice

  • I love how the batmobile system says goodbye to him as he leaves...it funny that Batman would give his programs personalities.

  • @Wyzzkyd

It isn't so dum at all for a machine to be given personalities. Take a look at K.I.T.T.

  • That quality is Siick !

  • That Batpod looks really cool.

  • This awesomeness takes my breath away...

  • The mall he went through looks exactly like a mall I go by everyday when I go to school...

  • I like Batman and all, but the constant fear of a Batman vehicle BLASTING into a shopping center without any kind of warning and miss your leg by inches would make me one of those people who don't leave their house!

  • It's very obvious to see if there's a CGI or not

  • @AboAbdulable I know there's CGI but I'm referring to when the truck flips over. That's real!!!

  • @AnnaBarton10 Yeah They've showed it behind the scenes...

  • @AnnaBarton10 it def is! you can see the smoke from the mortar used to flip the truck

  • There was cgi usage in this scene people what are u talking about lol

  • @davedirector7 I know that there's CGI, but not when the truck gets flipped over. That's what I'm referring to

  • @AnnaBarton10 but then tell us that in ur comments before u post something up. The truck was real but they placed explosives under it so that it can flip.

  • @davedirector7 Excuse me for not thinking that right when I posted that comment!

  • If this had been a Forrestfire film, then:

(Joker) -Come on, kill me. Come on, kill me, kill me, kill me!

(Batman hits him with the BatPod)

    (Batman) -That sure was emo.

  • I wish I could do that whenever I got into a car crash...

  • would be super hard to use with FULL size sprint car tires for this

  • Comment removed

  • I always have a subway sandwich readily available in the middle of an alleyway next to the Tumbler, pretty common occurrence.

  • 2:10

  • I'm with Gordon (what he said in the first Batman movie), when I say: I'VE GOT TO GET ME ONE OF THOSE! lol.

  • Who would've thought the batpod was in the bad tumbler I sure didn't. I would've also liked it if Batmansmashed into glass window buildings like the front cover shows.

  • Thats IT - i'm buying this right NOW on Blu-Ray!!!!

  • A semi would never flip like that-

the middle is flexible to go up,down and over things.

It'd fold before flipping-CGI or no CGI,

    It's still just Holywood.

Fun,but only realistic in a video game/cartoon universe. The real Bat Pods are barely rideable.Bale wasn't allowed to even try

    "just for fun"-too dangerous.

  • The best part of the movie, that pod....

  • the truck flip part is absolutely amazing

  • This is one of the best action sequences ever. Just shows you don't really need all that CGI effects, even though some were used in this scene. But most of it was live stunts. And it's a great action sequence.

  • The Batpod is #1 on my Christmas wishlist. They need to find a company to make em.

  • Has eny one noticed at 2:39 the Empier State Buliding in the background?

  • @strangebrewguys That's not the Empire State Building dude... This was filmed in Chicago

  • I remember when the batpod burst out of the batmobile, Everybody was cheering in the movie theaters.

  • This scene kicked so many levels of ass. I have to see this movie again.

  • @Pooky1991 Didn't know there were many levels !

    But I couldn't agree more !

  • This is a great scene to watch on bluray

  • The helicopter being tangled is indeed CGI, but when I first watched that on the big screen it didn't even occur to me. (Nolan is known for using minatures and models for what appear to be large-scale catastrophes, just thought it was the same.)

  • The batpod is buyable, the real one used by a stunt driver.

  • I jerk off to the Bat pod, it´s awesome.

  • Do helicopters seriously fly that low in cities?

  • The Batpod tying down the Joker's truck seems reminiscent of Luke Skywalker tripping the AT-AT with a tow cable.

  • @alucard1931 It looks more like one scene in "Terminator 3", where Arnold does the same with a firefighter truck

  • @julianzolo Now that you mention it, it does remind me of T3 with the crane getting caught in the manhole. Notice how both movies used very little music during the chase scenes. The Terminator's blank expression on his face right before he collides with the firetruck with a huge "CLANK!!" noise is freaking hilarious.

  • joker was probably just wingin the situation and had guys everywhere just in case, he even says in the movie he doesn't have a plan. heath ledgers performance made this movie good without a doubt the best performance of anyone that year

  • How did the joker knows at what part of the persecution the chopper is going to return, if the chopper would have returned any moment before those cops would have killed the joker, don' tell me because it's a movie.

  • Because part of The Joker's crew were Maroni's dirty cops in Gordon's unit who knew the route that the SWAT team was following. The others were Arkham escapees that Joker hung around with.

  • But still, Is it not too much power for the joker?, why can't batman do something similar with his cutting edge technology or something?

  • Amazing quality. I mean really.
