A true rock and roll legend,and hall of famer.Gene was one of the first ones to be burried at Eternal Vally Cemetery in Newhall, he is right at the bottom of the hill next to sierra Hwy in Newhall, Ca originally he was burried with out a head stone and there was no marker there for a along time until somebody paid for one and had it placed there.I have family there in that cemetery and I've seen Gene's spot many times and have put flowers there for him.he is missed.

So why didn't his relatives, whoever that would be (wife, sibling, parents, aunt or uncle) have enough to give him a headstone? Also why was he burried in Newhall? Nothing against Newhall but why didn't he live in Virginia where he came from (wasn't he from there?) or if he was going to live in CA why not where all the music is being recorded (Los Angeles, Hollywood)? Newhall is a fine place but nothing goes on there and probably more so when he lived there about 1971.

Gene's son, Vincent (Gene Jr),dead and burried (2006) at Eternal Valley Newhall, near,

have not stone also, no marker in 2009

At the time of Gene's Death he was broke and in debt and had no money and nobody bothered to put a headstone till about ten years after he died also why Newhall his mother lived in Newhall at the time and he was at her house and tripped and fell at her house and was taken to the VA hospital and died of a bleeding ulcer and his mom buried him at Newhall cemetery.thats why there.thats where he died he was visiting her at the time of his death.

J'ai fait la même chose en 1991 à Tulare à l'endroit ou James Dean s'est tué en 1955 . J'aimerais avoir l'adresse de ce cimetierre , je trouve que cette tombe est bien simple , comparée à sa vie , à son oeuvre et à sa souffrance .Encore tous mes compliments , et à l'occasion merci pour l'adresse ;0)
