This is my single favorite Zelda song ever, period. I know there are other catchier songs out there in the series (here's lookin' at you, Saria's Song), but this one just has so much emotion to me. It's sad, just like the game, where each tiny bit of progress Link makes is a step towards the very destruction of the people he's just bonded with.

When i was a little kid, my older brother played LoZ LA all the time, but never let me touch it. when he left for collage I finally got to try it. When I herd this melody for the first time, I was mesmerized. That melody as well as A Link To The Past made me a die-hard LoZ fan ever since. LoZ LA was one of the first game boy games I ever played, and the first LoZ game I played. This song holds so, so many good memories. Back when I wasn't allowed to have a Game Boy and had to play the neighbor's copy... I had my own save file and everything. Man, this totally made my day. Thank you so much for sharing this remake. :)

The one thing I hated about this game was that after you beat it, the world is really gone, and there's nothing you can do. :(

I just beat the game for the first time today and i must say.. even though I sorta saw the outcome coming.. when the island and everyone disappeared, it was heart aching.. it was as if they didnt see it coming while they were enjoying their lives on the island .. kids playing catch with each other, Tarin had just found another mushroom, bow wows playing .. then everything just vanished as the ballad of the wind fish played :(

This is something kids of today will never feel. How music from a video game that is so beautifully composed can make even the toughest people shed a tear.

A beautiful song with such emotion flowing forth. I can just see Koholint shimmering as the song plays, then vanishing with the wind blowing near the end. I can see the smile face of Marin as she sings the final notes before she, too, vanishes with the dream. It's really sad, but it feels good to wake up from the nightmare that plagues many. At least the memories were real; you can't replace those.
