A nice watch You think! There are a lot of other watches with more qualitiy.Why do You tell that all? Look under "Glashütte" watches!!!!!! Watches for everybody!!!Imagine,the time without watches!!!!
I may well be corrected here, but I believe part of it is down to how in the early 20th century when most good watches were made from gold (since it does not tarnish or stain, this being before stainless steel was widely used), Switzerland had a lower tax on gold (or maybe no tax?) than other countries so it was cheaper for watchmakers to make their watches there.

GJVB is a manufacture because they founded CLARO Watch S.A. in Bienne, Switzerland. They make the CL-888 18-jewel movement.

Nice looking watch. I am finding it hard to differentiate between the various models though, would be nice if they offered more variety.

Date windows always spoil the look of a watch in my opinion.

Nice watch. The face reminds me of military pocket watches.

I wonder if they make Jacques Lemans. My Geneve Artis GU-131 has the same hands and caseback.

@georgegrasser
Very likely it's the same case manufacturer sourced by both watchmakers.
