@LucidDreamer55 The Clone Wars cartoon is actually a lot deeper than one might give it credit for. Regardless of art style, it's done a good job of exploring the light and dark, as well as giving character to the clones themselves. TOR's CG trailers are great pieces of action, but they're merely sampler platters, not really engaging in much beyond awesome action. That said, Blur's team could probably make a CG movie cheaper than the 80 million it's taken to produce the game.
Those sith troopers or whatever they are must really suck that cowboy guy walked right at them for several seconds just staring at them and they didn't shoot him

Seriously look. When he pushes back both the Sith Master and Malgus, the blue saber is in his left hand but the blue saber is in his right hand when it impales the Sith Pureblood. The same happens with Malgus. The double bladed saber switches hands. Also, the background tends to change a lot.

Anway the game with the poor graphics, thin sabers and cartoonlike characters will fail imo, but these videos are awesome, the should make an entire movie based on this engine.

@WandererofLorac George Lucas doesn't do anything for the EU. He only does the movies and the Clone Wars series which are absolute canon. (So anything he does is more canon than video games, comics, novels and anything else he hasn't been involved in).

@spartan8247 Not really dude, a successful MMO (and this is so gonna be huge xD) can make over 1 billion a year in revenue on average (World of warcraft makes probably a little over 1.5 billion a year for blizzard) while the most successful movie ever, Avatar, has only just made 1 billion total. This cinematic is spectacular, but one thing bothers me. The faces are so realistic they might as well be real actors. These ultra-realistic faces seem to stick out in this sci-fi setting where everything seems a bit cartoonish.

She plays a large role in the game, being the youngest master (or was it grand master, check the holonet) and the discoverer of Tython. This video is set at when the Sith first re-amerged, before the war, "Hope" is the turning point in the war... the victory at Alderaan and where Malgus earned his mask. "Decieved', the first of the trailers, is the most recent point.

@hamsdre I would rather like a TV series that looks like this. That way I can see stuff like this more frequently instead of just 2 hours in a theater, know what I mean? This could replace Clone Wars.

@Mmrrggll Need to find the link, but I believe they've stated on the dev tracker that they will filter out names of Star Wars characters and certain names from other media. (Also, no surnames... just 1 name). Idk how they'll do it... but that's what I remember.

There have been posts that when the video was made (meaning "Hope") they had not nailed down Satele's look, being that these things take time to make it wasn't worth re-doing. She is the same person. This is the disadvantage of someone posting the video instead of it being TOR youtube doing it.

@UltimteLifeForm they arent definitely not the same chick, if you watch last year's cg trailer, she is clearly azn as in oriental, like chinese, japanese, korean, etc.
also, why would it be only one chick?? are they only allowed to have one female jedi?? or does the same chick HAVE to be in every single year's cinematic?
and keep in mind this is set 1000 years before, so there would be many more jedi and prob much morediverse

@monkeyz131 The woman, Satele Shan, is the same as in last year's trailer "Hope" (as is the trooper for those that care to know). She plays a large role in the game, being the youngest master (or was it grand master, check the holonet) and the discoverer of Tython. This video is set at when the Sith first re-amerged, before the war, "Hope" is the turning point in the war... the victory at Alderaan and where Malgus earned his mask. "Decieved', the first of the trailers, is the most recent point.

nice cgi.. but it only belongs in games (plus why have this when someone could only just film live action instead) yes i rather watch the great clone wars show. but a nice trailer and i love the cad bane human han guy. saddly ship and a bad word sound too alike :(..
