  • :-) thank for sharing 1st time I seem this one

  • so cute...and well behaved ....mine would never do this

  • it may look like theyre hurting the ferrets but they are not.My fav part is the:

    its a dorrrrrito!

    its a dorrrrrrito?

    a dorrrrrriiiiito!

  • cute, and just so everyone knows, scruffing a ferret actually relaxes them, somtimes they will even fall asleep!! at first I thought it was rough, but they do WAY crazier things like falling off tall beds and climbing high shelves lol

  • @4Dancingtrolls THANKS! I know people mean well, but I'm sick of the "YOUR HERTING YER FERRETS" messages.

  • They look like they were about to bite you, and they should. Not because holding by their scruff to make them act in a lameass commercial parody was bad enough, but because you made them wear clothes, and shook them like Michael J Fox on a Paint Mixer.

  • even if is a handeling technique to hold a ferret like that ,however its wrong to hold them long like that an shake them like they puppets..its for your your own stupid fun ,they clearly dont enjoy this..So dont use this handleing technique for your own silly games and yes u should sopport their weight with your other hand ..so it doesnt matter if is a handleing technique ,what u do is WRONG and silly..not funny at all..

  • @monique9134, you must not have ferrets. When they play with each other they often shake each other much more "rough" than this. He wasn't shaking the ferrets, he was moving them back and forth, there is a huge difference. And it looks like he was supporting them.

  • .... lolwut?

  • i didnt like it.

  • well, thanks for your comment, even though it doesn't really tell me anything. i don't expect people to like my videos, but, geez, if you're going to take the time to leave a comment could you at least be a little more specific about what you didn't like?

  • okay. i didnt like how the mouthes werent movin. couldent you use penut butter or somethin? they had blank stares. and they barley showed signs of life. you could of been using dead ferrets for all i know.

  • ok, fair enough. ferrets in general don't show any emotion - no facial expressions etc. also, when you hold them that way, they automatically hang limp. for me, part of what's funny - and 'funny' is a relative term - is seeing our hands 'puppet' the ferrets. in other words, it's obvious the ferrets are just hanging there and we are moving them around and doing the silly voices. anyways, it's impossible to make something that EVERYONE will laugh at.

  • @ebonflame1 peanut butter is bad for them, period.

  • @IllegalinCalifornia Yes it is. Ferrets are obligate.

  • My ferrets used to play fight. The one would grab the other by the scruff of his neck and drag him all the way across the room.

  • I never scruffed my ferret...I thought it seemed a bit too...rough?

  • It is NOT too rough, and I'm tired of this issue. Please read the other comments to educate yourself on proper ferret handling techniques.

  • Excuse me I did READ the previous comments.

I don't care if anyone scruffs their ferrets I'm just saying I never scruffed mine and was unaware that you could even do this until I read about more people doing it.

    Sheesh.

  • Oh and did I mention?

I liked your commercial pitch, it was very funny.

  • When you scruff a ferret, you should support its body with your other hand, as not to let its weight harm the animal in any way.

  • A very good point! We each had a hand under the ferret's butt.

  • The scruffing is yes painless and more so a natural carry method used by nearly every species and if those ferrets were at all uncomfortable they would have made him very aware of it.

    Nice vid bit poitless though.

  • Stupid and pointless!

    Tormenting poor animals is gratuitous.

Scruffing is used as discipline to punish bad behaviour, not to amuse the handler!

  • You are sooo wrong and mis-informed. Scruffing is actually a handling technique. It does not cause pain like you suggest. Do you mean to tell me you try to hurt your ferret when it misbehaves? Shame on you! I find your ignorance stupid and pointless. Please make better use of your time by writing hate letters to Michael Vick.

  • i agree with star monkey. if scruffing hurts them so much, why do the parents scruff their kids just to carry them around? HMMMM? this is mi friends user...SHHHH!!!!

  • Thank you, Nibs.

  • were they dead....

  • No, silly, they aren't dead! I used a very HUMANE handling technique called 'scruffing'. When you hold the skin on the back of their necks, they hang limp. It's how mother ferrets carry their young around. I know some people think I was being cruel, but I can assure you that they were treated well and received many treats!

  • Ahhh like what i do to my kitten.. i just thought "man what fool plays with dead ferrets" lol my bad

  • HAH! np. But you wouldn't believe how many ignorant people think I'm hurting my pets...
