  • This is one of the first games I ever had on my computer.

  • this 3000$ gaming machine which seemed future proof in that time well at year 2000 it became scrap

  • ahahahahahahaha this is eye catching, like watching and reading stuff like this, but i do feel old QQ

  • i had onw

  • OLD SCHOOL!

  • 5 fps wtf

  • is a pc engine

  • I don't remember that game running that shitty in MY nineties :(

  • I miss the 90's. <3333333333333333333333

  • Mechwarrior 2, my first pc game and a classic.

  • xfire ftw

  • 1.6 Gig Hard Drive...LOL

  • @Zoso709 yup but not as bad as the 40 MB hard drive I have in my desk drawer somewhere lol

  • i want that game :D

  • Watching this makes me feel old.

    I'm 19.

  • i used to rock this game... with cheat codes...

  • Comment removed

  • Lawl, activision don't they make COD?

  • @IMakeYouSit no... they RELEASE cod.... not the same thing...

  • ...Still better graphic like in Minecraft ;)

  • game reminds me alot of robopit for sega saturn :P

  • We've come a little ways since then. xDD My beige box IBM keyboard from '98's still kicking though, 3 Microsoft ComfortCurve 2000s later. xD

  • 133 mhz Pentium??? The fastest Pentium in 1995 was 233 mhz, so not exactly a hardcore gamer's pc for those times if it's not maxed out, lol. Hard drive is a bit small, but most games in those days played directly from the disc anyway, so not an issue. Hate those bland beige cases though.

  • "its a real simulator"

  • FREAKIN MECHWARRIOR 2

  • Is this game free now? Wanna try!

  • can it play mw3 XD

  • @MrCgibbons51 mw3 is shit, my gameboy can play that.

  • @gabrocki you're shit, my atari can play you.

  • @gabrocki you're shit, my atari can play you.

  • @GoldenIllusions THATS NOT FAIR :( Im not that rich :(

  • THE DETAILS...

  • xfire brought me here

  • @ThaMajed Isnt that a gamers chatprotocol?

  • I want this game xD

  • I laughed when he said 1.6GB harddrive..

  • should see mine.

  • my ipod has more processing power than 100 of those pcs

  • @Abonanno24601 Not true...

  • From activation?

  • I'd trade my 3x 3D moniters an watercooled 580gtx sli gaming rig for this bad boy lol

  • back then, my gt 520 would sell for millions *_*

  • Back then, some of the games didn't run through a video accelerator to process the graphics on the screen. Anything that required 3-D or video was all in 256 colors. Let's not forget to take into account high CPU time required to process 3-D rendering of objects. It was possible to put it in SVGA 16-bit mode, but that pushes the hardware beyond its limits.

  • it's a $3000 computer and it still only runs the game at 8fps.

  • @SirRobertDole2

What? For $3000 you still can't even build a decent gaming rig. Try spending upwards to $8,000 and see what you come up with...

  • @HoneycombAgent

Shit, for 8 grand i'll bet you could get almost 15 fps in mech warrior 2!

  • @SirRobertDole2 If you can run it in DOSBox. Not sure what kind of timings you can implement on it though, as CD-ROM drive emulation is spotty. (Does Mech Warrior 2 run off a CD?)

  • POTATO POWER

  • laGGGGGGGGGGG:D

  • For 1995 this was the bomb! Back in '95 I still had a 80286 if I'm not mistaken, with 16MHz, 2 meg's Ram, VGA adapter with BW screen, 40 meg HDD and 1,44 Meg DSHD 3,5 floppy drive. I remember myself dreaming of the day I would have my 80486DX, let alone a Pentium 133 MHz(!!)

  • I still have that game!! It was amazaing back then! I did run better on my Pentium 90MHz then what is shown here - but I had a 3dFX hard ...

  • my first pc still has it's original "pull cord".....

  • So much Win

  • That thing looks like it can run crysis 2 in 3 different windows, have all quality settings maxed out, n still get perfect fps!

  • "It's a full 3-D game." Yeah, it also looks like fucking shit. Give me something 2 dimensional if the best animation you can muster is a tan sheet of 20 pixels to represent a god damned rock.

  • Is that powered by a Dorito?

  • Is the chip that runs it made by Dorito?

  • dedicated gaming pc gets him 7 frames per second

  • SO HARDCORE :O

  • What happen with Josh nowadays?

  • thumbs up if you in the 31 century and you are in one watching youtube

  • it's got a 6 "EX" cd-roms drive!! LOL

  • Wow it runs in 10fps!!! AWESOME!

  • woooooooow this was my very first game!! good old memories XD

  • I remember playing this in the 90s!!!

  • and today that is a 5 quid system lol

  • @dnbrhythm To some people that would be 5 quid... to me it would be priceless.

To many, computer price is like a parabola in the way that new computers and very old computers are expensive and moderately old computers are cheap. To me they are all worth the same.

  • @TheGeekishGuy i know what you mean i use a system that is around ten years old which can still play todays games

  • The price sounds about right. Just two years prior, I bought a 25 MHz 486 with 4 meg ram and < 200 meg HD for $1399.

  • @c64gyro In 1994, my parents bought a 486 DX2/66 with 8 megs of RAM and a 420 meg hard drive for 1600. The 15 inch monitor was another $500, and the dot matrix printer was something like $400.

  • *That* is a $3000 PC? Wow ... just ... wow.

  • Exactly Exactly Sure Exactly. sneer (Maney Maney Maney Maney)

  • Lol...

    133 megahertz...

My fourth gen ipod has more RAM than that xD

  • @MayThereBePivot lol... you realize 133 Megahertz refers to the CPU, right? Not the memory? Ram capacity is measured in megabytes and gigabytes.

  • @crazy88boss I know.

That is why it is so fucking funny xD

  • @crazy88boss and kbs

  • a SNES's Super FX like non-texture game. It's definitely not what I did imagine when seeing mechwarrior ads on magazines back then.

  • Hard to believe this was just 16 years ago. That we're now getting clock rates 30 times what this thing has, and that hard drives have 2000 times the capacity. Fast forward to 2027? :o

  • Oh ball-mouse. How I don't miss you at all.

  • I heared the developer was inspired by Japanese anime "Votoms"

  • Mechwarrior <3 I'm getting old...

  • lol $3000 for that graphics BLEH but ye its ancient

  • 1.6 Gb HDD... So can I play L4D on that thing?

  • I wish games had cool HUDs like that these days.

  • A full screen game!!!!!! amazing!!!

  • Laugh now, but in the future like 30 years from now, there going to laugh and ridicule at our MEASLY 2.5TB HDD, and our WIMPY 12GB of RAM and our PITIFUL Dual-Nvidea Geforce GTX Video Cards, and our PATHETIC Intel i7 Quad Core's Clocked at 3.6GHz. So laugh it up now, but our time will come.

  • @AWTAssassin ill be one of those fools laughing as i jack off to 3d porn

  • @AWTAssassin I'd give it 10 yrs before we have eye implants that make that there setup seem like an infant's toy.

  • @AWTAssassin Lol, 128 GB ram is now possible due to socket 2011 motherboards with 8 ram slots :D. 12 GB ram is already getting wimpy ^^.

  • @AWTAssassin yea but think they will laugh even harder if they watch this.

  • @MrCgibbons51 they wont even know what is this, for them windows 7 will be like win95 or even older

  • @AWTAssassin I'm laughing cause I had a PC similar to this back in the day. I'll laugh right along with everyone 30 years from now at my current "good" gaming PC.

  • its a fullscreen game!!!WTF

  • @232nintendo Are you asking about the computer...

    or Mechwarrior?

Because Mechwarrior was the shit in every single iteration

  • 10 FPS !? MADNESS!

  • 3000 dollars. It only does what the ps1 could do.

  • @UoBtExFODA Yeah, its from Activision didntya here?

  • 1.6GB?!?

z0mg. I NEED TO GET ME ONE OF THESE!

  • Imagine, twenty years later when kids laugh of Crysis or GTA IV you're going to feel like I do when I read this kind of comments

You have to think that this was amazing, 3D technology was something new at that time...

  • 1.6 gigs? holy cow for 1995 that's actually pretty good considering my mac was around $2000 and couldn't even play Diablo 1

  • lol

  • LOL

  • Mechwarrior II had pretty amazing sound and control with my Sidewinder force feedback pro joystick.

  • omg built in mpeg i need this :D

  • the computers we have now will be worth just as much as that one in 15 years

  • I bet you could get this PC for free right now.

  • This was "the gamers pc" 16 years ago lol

  • I've never heard anyone say "exactly" so much before in my life.

  • It's funny how people fail to understand how computers advanced. Back in the day, people called you stupid for buying a Pentium, and I quote someone I knew who was an IT guy, "Pentium?! What are you running servers?!" Also, we know you can buy a computer now that'd crush this now, and money left over, but this is just history in the making.

  • @kirbyyasha Indeed, being the well money saving gamer I was then, AM5x86-PR75 133MHz was the real deal and ran MW2 fine anyway. :)

  • 15 fps. WOW...

  • Looks like Wii graphics.

  • @AzumiRM Actually, the Wii can display more colors than this game could produce. When it came out (& it is Mech Warrior) the minimum requirements were an EGA video card capable of displaying a max of 256 colors. Held back twice because they were trying to get it optimized to use every last bit of memory efficiently - back then most video cards (even some high ones) had no onbaord memory so it used RAM for graphics calculations. Video cards had a GPU but usually no mem. of its own.

  • there is something wrong with these aspects

    a 1.6GB hard drive and 133mhz in 95?

  • @ytmobileme Not sure on that hard drive, but the 133Mhz Pentiums had just come out in late '95

  • I was digging through a stack of CD's while back, I found a Mechwarrior 2 disc. I ripped the soundtrack off.

For 3000 dollars I have a new computer, monitor, keyboard mouse, printer... and a desk.

  • "it's a reaaaaaaal simulation" XD

  • Now a days this is so funny.

    My 3000 dollar alienware

    1.6 gig hardrive? i have a 2.6 TB

    AMD READON 6870 HD

And an i7 26k turbo boost to 4.1 ghz Quad core

  • @ArchAngle199 For 3000 dollars I would think you would at least get two 6870 in crossfire not one. Seems overpriced to me.

  • @suerves Oh yeah i do have 2

  • that game could be good now a days if you just re do the grafics......... ALLOT

  • laggg...

  • Critical Hit...Heat Sink

  • 133 mhz cpu? Jesus christ you can create a black hole with a cpu that fast.

  • @Link234567 i hope ur kidding

  • @m200mw NO I'M BEING COMPLETELY HONESTLY LEGIBLY SERIOUS.

  • I saw the same set up at a goodwill down the street...

  • he's using arrow keys... guess they didn't have asdw then

  • lol it was $3000 back in 1995 and today it would be like $2

  • What a piece of shit.

  • i wish i could travel back to 1995 and show these people crysis and battlefield 3 and watch them shit their pants XD

  • @Mecha120 or my MSI Wind U230-Light which even with it's low specs, could whip these machines all day long LOL!!

  • MY OLD COMPUTER CAME WITH MECH WARRIOR 2!!!! hahahah

  • e o lag ? riariirririar

  • what a noob... he's using the arrow keys. a true pc gamer knows the wasd keys is the way to go!

  • I'm not going to buy this unless it has a Pentium MMX in it. Otherwise it's too slow. I got to have the 1337 SIMD extensions

  • Nowadays this would cost around $15

there's a mic next the computer I found one just like it in my closet about a year ago

  • "Full 3D"

    "It's a real simulation"

  • Hmm Activision im suprised they didn't show Call of Duty on it, since thats the only franchise they care about.

  • he is playing counter strike 1.1 :D

  • @Dannyux94 he is playing counter strike 0.1 =D

  • @Dannyux94 I am old enough to have played the original Mech Warrior and all the subsequent version that came out. It was my favorite game and I guarantee this is NOT counter strike. I also played counter strike from the first version on as well. VERY different look. Do some research on version 1 of Mech Warrior and version 1 of Counter Strike (there are still pics. on the net) and you will see they look completely different. Like I said, this isn't a guess on my part. Have a great day!

  • Yay ;D I could play Age of Empires 1 now, on this great machine!

  • Oh shit...1.6GB harddrive. OO

  • $3000 and yet the game runs at 15 fps...

Hmmm, we really didn't know what we were doing back then, did we?

  • wasnt the playstation released then?

  • @mrbumblesquat Yes it was. Also along with mechwarrior 2, which looked a hell of a lot better than this crap :P

  • What a terrible framerate!

  • @Lunarvx22 yeah i guess that was smooth these times xD

  • Awe man, one of my first PC games! XD Trippyyyyyyyy

  • PC gaming master race.

  • I lol when he says 'i has a 1.6 gig hard drive' 1game requires triple that now lol.

It's like, oh lemme install crisis2 , wtf 'you are 3.4gig short'

  • i lol too hard, even though i had something like this back then :3

  • u know computers are not fast enough when old people "get it"

  • @crodo123 You sir, just made my day.

  • Thats only running at 10 fps! Pathetic for even back then.

  • wow 3 grand for THAT and 15 years later it's not worth 5 dollars

  • at 0:18 i see that damn windows 98

  • Comment removed

  • 1.6 gig hard drive HOLY SHIT that is GREAT

  • 1.6 gig hard drive HOLY SHIT

  • bet it can run crisis maxed out...... or age of empires 1?

  • in this time... i was able to play "Stunts" in #100fps LOL

  • Lame.

  • "we have ice planets, and canyons" OMFG!! CANYONS!! where can i buy this beast? or perhaps someone is willing to split even with a i7 4ghz quad core? LOL

  • Am I the only one that is impressed? I mean it looks epic for that time D:

  • WOW LOOK AT THOSE GRAPHICS!!!!

  • Games were unique back then.

  • Wait, Activision was around back then? Who knew!

Also, the N64/PS1 had better looking games than that "gaming pc." and they were cheaper too.

Btw, I'm downloading porn at 3 in the morning, but somehow, these videos seem more entertaining.

  • @gamercat86 n64/ps1 were not around at that stage

  • @dacrunch I know. I'm just saying that those two systems had better-looking games than that pc.

  • Activision.... oh how I hate you for corrupting Blizzard!

  • Mechwarrior 2 is one of my favorite games of all time. Got to love how bad the framerate is on that "ultimate gamer's PC."

  • jeeezzuz it looks like its running at 12 fps...
