I got news for you. Grand Rapids don't feel like no small town! Small towns are too often extremely corrupt places, impregnated by dogmatic cults of all variety. Russelville AR, for example, is full of fundamentalists who drive out anyone who does not conform to their way of life. Olean, NY, and surrounding communities do exactly the same thing, only without religious presence. Grand Rapids certainly does none of these things. It is, and feels like, a city.
