If we don't change the way we interact with the economy, we will never see Dr. Michio's predicted great inventions. We had such predictions in the 50's followed by the corp shelved inventions of the 60's-70's which would have allowed these predictions to become true. We need a human supportive systems, not greed stimulated/manipulated ones. The oligarchs presently rule. Once the people figure this out, things will change. Will that be with a guillotine, or mutually agreed system change?

I really enjoyed the closing predictions from Dr. Kaku. But I think they are safe predictions. His time line might be a bit fast though. I think all those will happen just not soon. Except the whole contact lens internet cell phone. I wonder if that episode of futurama featuring an eyephone was taken from his book.
