  • Super song.Listen to the George formby version as well!

  • @crunterstamps

I remember the Formby version very well. It was always fun to have my songs "covered".

  • Still going well and a great singer love Shirls xx

  • I loved this song since I heard it in the early sixties on my 45 record player, the flip side is wonderful too

  • The video is really good. Glad to have seen it

  • I love that song, I have it on a record from the 60s

  • love the damn song (heard it on scrubs too)

  • I think it is from "pecker" not brubis crubis

  • It's not "from" Pecker. It was in both Pecker and Scrubs, however it was written back in the 1950's/60's era.

  • I met Jon Waters when the Pecker DVD was released, and he was doing a signing in Midtown, NYC, at Coconuts, I think...?. He told me that it was that song that actually inspired the movie and he'd always loved it. At the time, I'd been corresponding with Paul, and Jon signed a picture to Paul thanking him for the song (They'd never met). I sent it to Paul.

  • I love this song, since I heard it at Scrubs.

    When was this video taken?

  • I believe it was taken in 2000. I know I was there. He was appearing with a bunch of other Oldies acts. During intermission, I had gotten to speak with Al Byron who was also there. He co-wrote "Roses Are Red" with Paul. Paul performed the song as it was written.
